Person A can be your family, some friends or even a random stranger who thinks that drawing/designing for an artist is easy.

I experienced such things myself and it was horrible because it makes you look like a bad person in others POV. "You are stingy or you just don't like the person so you are making up excuses."

Once you mentioned "it's not free" instantly people like Person A left you without a word and spreading rumors that you don't want to draw for them. Making the artist felt bad or guilty of it even when we politely declined to such requests. Thank you very much for that. In the end, we have to do it FOR FREE just to make ourselves better and to clean up the mess that we don't even make.

Yes, some of us artist really draw fast and some people will assumed that WE DO NOT THINK WHILE WE DRAW. Well, guess what? we do draw with our brains connected to the hand. Just when you think that we are not making rocket science, again you are wrong.

Artists/Designers are people who spend most of their years improving and trust me it can make someone depressed or stressed because we have loud minds, we think a lot on how to improve ourselves to become better. Drawing is they way we express ourselves. We do not become great artists overnight. It costs us years to get where we are now.

Some people said being an artists has no future. We don't get paid much. Well, guess again who are the ones who makes us pay less? it's because of the same exact person who said we do not have future. This lot are the ones who are not willing to pay to artists and expected us to draw for them for free.

All that I am saying is to respect such artists and designers. Support their hard works. There are times we can do it for free, but only when we are not busy or we just cared for the person.

Also, this kind of thing happens a lot in my country.
