I'd say head to your nearest library or bookstore and get some books on the '80s. That's what I did. Once you know the societal and economic background of a period, then you can immerse yourself in the movies and music in context.

Thanks so much! Really! I probly spent a good two hours JUST trying to get the colours right. My eyes still kind of hurt, but it was worth it. Gotta love the 80's palette. Everything these days is so drab and corporate lookin'.

I'll actually love to take the time to redraw AND colour this one! I like it enough, but it's just a first draft. I want to tackle the designs again, bring out more of the characters' personalities!

Totally bizarre hairstyles and fashions... but the height of creativity, methinks. CGI in the '90s killed that creativity.

Totally, dude! Breakfast Club and Back to the Future are definitely just some of the flicks that sparked my love of the 80's!

Like I could let my character go without a rad Marty McFly skateboard! Psh! What would people think of me?? Tony Hawk would totally confiscate my pencil!!!

And Midnight in Paris... Yeah, definitely the best Woody Allen movie but that's not saying much. I actually thought it was quite crappy. But I tend to be a little plebeian when it comes to taste in movies, so if there's some unappreciated cinematic value to that movie, I probably missed it.

Cool idea though. But time traveling is always a good idea Hahahaha!

if you're plebeian, then so am I. I've never understood the big deal when it comes to Woody Allen.

I enjoyed all the cameo's in Midnight in Paris, but by the fifteenth time they played that guitar bit in the soundtrack, I became a weeee bit gatvol.

Anyway.
