So, here's a lynx. :3 It took me a while to finish this, but I think it came out okey..? But the fur looks soooo dark, it almost blends in the bg. :c It was really hard to find the right colors for the fur, 'cause the bg in the ref picture was white.. But I do kinda like the head.
I actually scanned this differently so it's not soooo bad, but I'd still like to know how to fix the lightning on the pics.

you can make make it lighter with any photo/image manipulator program (photoshop, xnview, gimp, etc.)

try to search xnview with google, that's a free program.
scanners are idiots. I never ever heard of anyone who own a good scanner that won't mess up a picture...

it has some cool things in it, but for me it seems weird.. I dunno how. and I'm not sure if it has the things I need.
what about gimp, is it any good? it seems to be pretty popular, but is it too complicated? and is it free?

I've never used gimp, but I think it's free. Try that if You feel like it. Personally I love xnview, I'm using it for 2-3 years. I think it's the easiest program, but maybe gimp is better. I really don't know
