It was dusk, but the setting sun and light from the car shown beautifully on his dark scales- He said his name was Thawn.
I admired his size , my hand no bigger than his toenail!
Like his scales his smile glowed. He was waiting to be my friend, I know. Of course, my parents wouldn't see him. They asked if I found a firefly. Something like that- was my reply.

I really love this piece, it's when I started to get a bit more to grips with my method. Hackneyed as it was. I love the color harmony of my palette- it's just a shame I was terrible at using proper lighting physics. But I've learned since.
