Description I took this photo of a red coyote just a few days ago while at the zoo. This behavior is very very rare.

Rules:
- You may not use this for stock, and it cannot be reposted
- You may not trace it
- You may only reference it, meaning use it draw something similar in your own style
- You must give me credit and link back to this page when you use it
- Enjoy, and show me when you reference!

I apologize for the very blurred and out of focus shot, it is horrible, I know. However, such a behavior and pose is hardly seen, and as bad as the picture may be, I figured it could be very useful for references.

I have seen this pose only once before, in my book. Here is an actual excerpt from this book, about the pose:
"...normal coyote behaviors not seen by humans. [The picture] shows the humped up, submissive-aggressive position peculiar to coyotes and sometimes seen in social interactions around food." Drawing Wildlife, Amberlyn, P23

So basically, I very special and unique pose. It's hard to tell in the photo, but the coyote's back is humped up, it's mouth wide up in a snarl, tail tucked between it's legs, and legs that are fully extended. When I took this shot, this coyote was being fed, and another (I assume higher ranked) coyote came up and started to eat its food. The coyote did this pose running and left, then came back and chased the other coyote away. It was really interesting and scary at the same time.

So enjoy this shot<3

Again, I apoligze for the crappy quality, it was the best I could take so quickly.

This got me to thinking, what would the coyote look like as an anthro in that pose?
