I felt sorry for him when the baby was chasing him out of the womb. Β It just wasn't his day.
However, Orochi sticking her probes out sensing him underground, no pity for him then, I mean he flat out said he wanted to meet one.Β

I love how pretty much everyone in this movie gave themselves an aneurysm at one point or another. Also, why did people need to connect their minds to jaegers to pilot them?!?!? They hook themselves into these motion detecting suits, let them sense their motions and controlling the robots. SO WHY HOOK UP YOUR BRAIN? All it does is make everything a thousand times more complicated and dangerous. If they didn't hook themselves up like that, they wouldn't need two pilots! Gah!
I really need to stop picking this movie apart.

They way I thought about it, without any ability to FEEL what the robot feels, you'd have incredible difficulty moving it. No sense of spacial awareness, no sense of touch. Imagine trying to pick up something without looking at it, if you can in no way FEEL it. That scene with the shipping containers would have taken ages!

Guillermo, let me love you for creating such great characters. Newton's kind of a crazy cross between a younger Dr Brown from "Back to the future" and a nerd rock-star. The movie would have definitely not be the same without him.

Without the Charlie/Perlman arc, this movie would not have been anywhere NEAR as good (In my opinion)

okay, you're taking it a bit too far now.
the whole movie was about monster/robot fights and it succeeded in that ten fold. the addition of the comic relief made it better but they still would have made a great film without them.

Also a caricature of JJ Abrams. Double ouch.
