MAZE WAYZ
"ART IS THE REVOLUTION OF EVOLUTION"
My art is about space travel and always moving forward in time, all the while acknowledging the past by my focus on world history.
From a very young age, frequent themes in my work often consist of a large series of astronauts and alien spacecrafts. Because of the far out significance of these icons, they help bridge my work to a wide network of topics ranging from society's streets, indigenous and pop cultures, religious arts, and the collective connection of the mind to the universe. My attempt is to expose the negative and positive effects these topics have on humanity , themselves, planet earth and the universe.
My style helps guide these works through a diverse explosion of color. Bright distorted dream visions complimented by fluorescent colors and UV lights; these psychedelic pop-graffiti creations are brought to life by the use of aerosol, acrylics, markers, and airbrush. These tools help me have a much smoother workflow in my studio. Multi-media mediums allow me to not limit myself to any boundaries set by "fine" art forms or from any thing that is as rebellious as graffiti art.
