Shani is the youngest of Kiara and Kovu's second litter, as well as their youngest child overall. She is the twin sister of Chaka, and together they are future co-leaders of the Lion Guard. Unlike her calm and calculative older brother, Shani can be a bit impetuous and likes to jump into things. She is also quite the romantic and initially sees being leader of the guard as just a big adventure. However, she soon realizes the importance of her crucial role in the Pridelands.
