After the events of TLK2, Kovu and Kiara live a happy life together as mates, and eventually king and queen. Upon becoming a father, Kovu was quite nervous; after all, he had never really experienced what it felt like to be loved as a child, so he was afraid he wouldn't know what to do. But the moment his eldest Aisha was born, all his fears vanished and he knew he would love this cub no matter what. He ends up being a great father who has strong bonds with all three of his cubs.
