Zuri was a snooty lioness who believed her appearance was the most important thing. She was best friends with Tiifu and Kiara growing up, but that was about it. She believed it was because everyone else was too improper to understand her, but really it was because nobody could take her snotty personality. However, she was still content, and spent her days going to the spa and flirting with the boy cubs. She eventually learned her lesson when she was rejected by her crush Afua, who chose Tiifu over her because "she was just nicer." However, Zuri instead blamed Tiifu, and the two got into a big fight. Kiara, who got thrown into the middle of it all, eventually just became blunt with Zuri, explaining why the reason other people don't like her was because she was a snob. It was then that Zuri finally decided to change her ways, and eventually she did, mending her friendship with Tiifu and Afua, although she never lost her love for being pampered. Eventually she got over Afua, but still wished for a mate of her own. Then one day, Kiara's long-lost brother Kopa returned to the Pridelands, and Zuri was instantly charmed by the handsome, rugged rogue. Little did she know Kopa was into her as well. However, Kion told Kopa some things about Zuri (he had been living at the Tree of Life and was not acquainted with the new and improved Zuri), and so Kopa started avoiding her. This hurt Zuri, and Kiara told her brother off for hurting her friend. Confused, Kopa confided in his father, and Simba told him he should not judge Zuri before really getting to know her, for he had made that mistake with Kovu, and didn't want Kopa to do the same as well. So Kopa decided to give Zuri a real chance, and he was head over paws. The two eventually became mates and had two daughters and a son.
