Description "Dual-bladed staff with micropulse generators to keep its nano-regenerated alloy edge sharp."

In UC2, the Impact Hammer was replaced by a new melee system, able to perform rapid strikes, heavy strikes for damage, deflect firearms shots, shields to absorb damage and more.  Each character had their own unique weapon (For the most part, Juggernauts shared fists and Skarrj their Razik), this one being Anubis' melee weapon of Choice, the Nakhti Staff.

But in 's A Robot's Tale, it's Erika weapon, not only is it the sign of the Spyre Forest's ruler, but also a potent melee weapon.  But it wasn't always a nanotech weapon...

Before the Nakotan Tribes, there was Nyxtorians in what was Ancient Awheaus, a sect of leopard anthros who lived in that region and worshipped their gods, and these staffs were used to hunt the fishes in the rivers, not only to survive in the deserts, but to offer it to their gods for appeasal and keep the universe stable.

However, some of the Nyxtorians had little faith in their "Gods" and broke off, heading South to one of the colder climates in St. Amblyne, the uber-small continent of Biancas.

Over the next few centuries, the Ex-Nyxtorians, now calling themselves Nakotans, not only adapted to the cold climates, but soon a new breed of leopards were born, the Snow Leopard.

(I know that's not how it is IRL, but it's my explanation how snow leopards are in the ART Universe. )

Milleniums went by and the Nakotans made their home in Kyhilee, however, they no longer used the spears used by their forefathers, and all was propserous... until the NOC came in and wiped them all out, except for one...

The sole survivor was none other then Erika.

Fast forward to 2037, and while the Spyre Forest was being built, Erika overheard some tales about her forefathers, the Nyxtorians from the people working, saying they invented the pulley system and other tools like that. Before becoming Empress of the Spyre Forest, Erika began her trek to the arid desert of Awheaus.

It was a 2 week walk, but once she got to the desert, all it was is sand and intense heat, something would normally cause Erika to turn back around and head home. However she swore she could hear the whispers of her Nyxtorian forefathers call to her.

Pushing past intense heat and wicked sandstorms, Erika ventured onwards, going where the wind was blowing and somehow managed to survive the harsh lands and eventually stumbled onto the Pyramids of the Nyxtorians, still standing tall after 1000's of years passing by.  Amazed by their ancient beauty, Erika went inside of one the pyramids.

There, she studied the history of the Nyxtorians, about her Nakotan bretheren, and realizing something very important.  She is one of the last of not just the Nakotan tribals, but the last of the Nyxtorian purebloods as well.  From that day onward, she decided to stop hiding behind her fear of that day when the NOC wiped her village out completely.

Erika found some armor and one of the ancient Nyxtorian staffs.  She took the armor, dubbing it the "Nephthys Armor" and the staff, then returned home to the Spyre Forest, becoming the Empress of the now finished Spyre Forest.

While the armor still held up after milleniums, the staff saw better days. But thanks to Storm Ford, not only does the staff have it's looks restored, but the once metal blades were replaced with Nanotech alloys with a micropulse generator to ensure that the staff will still be as sharp as it was so long ago.

Ok, is this an AU or the actual future of our OC's, because the world of A Robot's Tale is depressing as hell. D=

It's an AU.

ok, good.  Because the idea of our world being a post apocalyptic wasteland where civilization is dead and is being violently fought over by two terrible, borderline fascist factions REALLY doesn't appeal to me.

Yeah. Not my thing normally, but I like to help others make their worlds come to life.

Such lore and detail in it's history. Brilliantly done!

I can also assume that the now deserted village of Kyhilee has been left to age and stand, not only as ruins, but as a memorial marking the end of one of the most ancient races in history (save only for Erika, the last remaining Nyxtorian). Now whenever people come to visit this memorial, they HARDLY even bother to take pictures. Instead, they come to see the village for how it stands, and of course, to mourn and pay respect to what was growing to be a prosperous and peaceful race, with the Inyc clan coming second.

Thanks.

Erika: Indeed... even after what the NOC did, at least the village remains in it's glory... I have the UGTF to thank for that.

Not only them, but the leading superpower of Amblyne itself for taking the task of making this village a memorial, and a place for peace and respect for the passed.

(My inspiration for making the deserted village of Kyhilee came to me after reading the tragic story of an actual village in France called "Oradour-Sur-Glane".)

(Indeed.)

GR knows only very little about this war crime... If he did, he'd be devastated.
