Description asked me to develop a new character for her, so I did my best! I find the grand majority (if not ALL xD) of the fan created daughters of Chibiusa have Helios as their father. Hanna wanted me to create one that has Peruru as her father ^_^ See, she and her husband are cosplaying as Chibiusa and Peruru so they want to create a costume for their baby daughter. I thought it was the sweetest idea ever

Pearl looks a lot like her father and has inherited a lot of his traits as well as his musical talent, but she still is very similar to Chibiusa in personality, though she'd rather not admit it. She's daddy's little girl and would rather dance around the court playing her flute than attend royal banquets which frustrates her mother sometimes. Pearl insisted that she no longer wear the Serenity dress because it hindered her dancing and she'd trip on the hem a lot (inherited Usagi's clumsiness ) so now she wears a modified dress. She's such a dreamy child.

You really know how to make something cute don't you?

I really like the color. Especially on the frock. Very nice lighting and shading as well. The pose is also nice.

The eyes are as always made brilliantly. They really draw you into the picture. Great color choice for the eyes too.

I am always impressed of the way you make the hair and this time is no different. Incredible work on that!

I really think of many things to criticize here. The only thing I'm not too crazy over is probably the background. You could have made it more interesting. But it does the job well enough. Not really a huge problem.

You have once again created a character too cute to be allowed on the internet. Keep it up!

Thank you so much for the critique and I'm glad you like the piece ^_^ The background is something that people have pointed out is something wrong with it. It should be a lighter purple I guess. The reason why I don't do complicated backgrounds is because it's free and I'm not charging for them I'm trying to create a lot more complicated backgrounds, though.

This is a very adorable deviation, and I love how innocent Pearl looks. Overall you did a very wonderful job on this deviation, but there are a few things that I notice.

So, I'll start with her face. Her nose appears to be a little bit too high, if you were to lower it a little, maybe inbetween her rosy cheeks, then it would be better. The next thing is the eyes, they are a little far apart from each other. If they were to be placed a bit more towards the center, they would be alright. She looks like shes focusing on playing the flute, which gives this deviation a really good aspect.

One more thing that I noticed, is that her hair blends in a lot with the background. There is a lot of purples and lavenders in this deviation, and her hair kind of gets caught up in it. If the lavender background was more of a light lavender color, then she would stand out better against it, and that includes her hair.

Other than those few things, Pearl looks simply adorable and I love her hair and outfit. This is a very good deviation with tons of strong points. Keep up the awesome work in the future.

Thank you so much for the critique As far as the nose goes it was something I had completely forgotten to fix! Originally she was going to have her mouth open like she was breathing in air so she could blow into the flute but I thought that looked awkward because I never did that when I played xD So thanks so much for pointing that out. I completely forgot to change the nose! And you're so right about the background. I have such trouble with that and for some reason I always try to blend them in too much (look at my icon for a perfect example ) Thanks once again!

One of the techniques that I've noticed works well for me, is that if you stand back a few feet from your picture, you can notice a lot of different things. I normally do this when it comes to drawing, but I assume it can be used for coloring digitally. I've pointed out a lot of little things in my drawings with this method, because its almost like you're looking at a different person's work. I don't see why it wouldn't work with coloring digitally.

Yeah I bet that works. My problem is I guess is that I do drawings non-stop xD I don't often take breaks Maybe I should start and come back fresh.

I wish I could just create a lot of drawings. Since I'm not in school anymore, I don't have as much motivation. In school it was the, "yeah I don't want to pay attention, so I'll draw instead." Now that I don't have that, I can't find a way to get back into drawing tons of pictures all the time.

I've always thought that, too. Maybe it's because I saw the movie before I saw the series (the movies were out in America subtitled before the season was). Still, Peruru is so sweet A much better built character in my opinion.

Eh, I always found the Helios/Chibiusa thing to be kinda creepy since he's probably a thousand years old, and he was blushing over an 8 year old. o_o Not to mention, she spent most of their relationship thinking he was a winged unicorn. That's...wtf Naoko XD

Peruru actually felt like the better constructed character overall...and well, he didn't kiss Chibiusa while she was unconscious. XD

I like Helios + ChibiUsa more, but I don't mind Peruru + ChibiUsa In fact, Peruru just complicates it more because it's like "they're BOTH perfect for her!"

Wow she is so adorable and I love her hair to death. You've cged it beautiful The flute is a very interesting creation as well. Her attire is so cute and I love her little shoes and the ribbons. So adorable! My only critique would be the creases where her torso meets her skirt, they just seem unnatural. It's an incredibly cute picture and you've done a great job.

I naturally anything with odangoes, and Chibiusa is my favourite senshi, so I naturally this chara! I the elven ears! Combined with the flute playing, she really reminds me of the god Pan... And I think that the skirt and shoes give off a very Cardcaptor Sakura/ballerina vibe. Keep up the awesome, superkawaii work!
