Description It has been many years since the Pevensie children landed in Narnia through a magical wardrobe. They had saved the kingdom from the White Witch Jadis and taken their rightful thrones as the Kings and Queens of Narnia. But for all the wonders of this beautiful world, there are many burdens and responsibilities for its Kings and Queens. While the White Witch is no longer a threat, Narnia still has other enemies.

Finally, after a long day, the High King Peter found solitude in a small clearing by a tiny stream not too far from the great city of Cair Paraval. A single tree stood in the clearing, its lush green leaves calling to him as they swayed in the wind. The young king closed his eyes and let the small wonders of his kingdom sing him a gentle lullaby to soothe his weary soul.

---
The third version but this time with a hokey border I made in all of 2 minutes. I could have found brushes, yes, but I didn't feel like it. The stars I definitely wanted to use because High King Peter is kinda like the guiding star as a leader. I know, hokey. But really it's also related to the fact that he's the High King of the Clear Northern Sky. Well, at night what do you see in the sky but stars, eh? (also he has stars on his costume). XD

I like this version the best. Apart from the border, which is obvious () i'm not sure what it is thats different, but i like it better. The border really adds to it though. Sort of creates the feeling that we're looking through a window or something.

Good work!

You know I never thought about it being a window but you're right it does give that feel now. Thank you! ^_^

ah, how i wish i could draw this style of cartoony-ness. i am stuck in anime mode, which makes me want to cry. but this isn't about me. ANYWAY! this is great, i love how peaceful it is. poor peter, he does need his rest, being a king and all. i like how it also looks like william moseley without actually being him... very nice. great work! :]

Thank you! I'm glad you like it! I was kind of basing him on William Moseley but as I cannot draw real people to save my life, I figured I'd just go for the general, blond haired guy haha. I'm actually stuck in anime-mode for the most part myself. It's very hard for me to break out of even though I really want to. I think this doesn't look quite so anime-ish because his eyes are closed, haha.

I like this version best. A couple of suggestions: Darken the background through the trees. The shaded trees are brighter than the foreground? The sky blue can remain as is, but the branches would be almost black amongst the dark gray.

Second would be to add a watered down ripply reflection of colors in the water. Water is shiny. No realistic reflection is needed, but ripply rounded color blots indicating that there IS a reflection would be good.

Other than that, Looks good! It's almost there! ^__^ V,,

Don't knock yourself out. Just my 2 cents worth of thoughts. If they're worth 2 cents.

They're totally worth more than two cents! I really like the idea of a reflection though - I think it'll add more to the piece. I just don't know if I can pull it off XD
