I'm going to say this, I did not like sewing faux fur. Had to do most of that by hand because it was think enough to make it difficult to sew through my machine. The turnout was very beautiful though. That's something I do appreciate.I have more of these on my table. Going to get rid of the rest of the faux furs with a larger version of this one. Then I will be making Derpy Hooves.

Yes, I had to buy the fur online. I have the same issue with my local fabric store not carrying enough colours and not the same length. xD

How did you do her mane and tail? I wanna make my own Twilight plushy, but can't figure out the technique for faux fur manes

I think faux fur manes only work for certain types of ponies. Such as, Rainbow Dash or Big Mac. Twilight Sparkle might be a lot harder to do and I have no idea how that would be done! With Rainbow Dash, it was all a matter of just sewing her rainbow pieces together like a normal tail and working with the thickness of it.

I've seen ppl use faux fur on ponies like Trixie. I don't think Twilight would be an issue. Thanks for the advice tho

I had to buy. Thought it would be cheaper to buy white faux fur and buy dye it each colour, but I didn't know how the dye would take to the fabric. So, I just caved in and bought each individual colour.

Damn! This is awesome! Very well done. Yeah, the faux fur sucks to sew. I made a Rainbow Dash hoodie with similar (possibly the same) thick furs, and it was a bear, so much so that I didn't want to make another one even for myself, LOL.
Anyways, wonderful job, if I didn't need to be saving up to move, I'd totally bid or BIN.

Hahaha, yeah, the fur is a NIGHTMARE! xD I've even lost my open end on the tail a couple times. It's just that thick!

It is just awful to sew, machine or by hand. It's worth it in the end though, I think it works especially well for plush, Dash has that scruffy mane thing going on that the fur imitates better than minky. I've not really done plush work aside from the hoodie parts, so I'm sure my patterns won't be as accurate as yours (love how you did the legs, btw!) but I may give it a go to get rid of some of the extra fur fabric, I had to buy a half yard of each color, ha.
