📌 Just to remember that English is not my first language, if you find any really grotesque mistakes, let me know. But I hope the text is clear enough for everyone to understand and that everything makes sense.
The faaaaarawayyyy background was made using AI.
The gates of the city were made of dark, polished wood, with intricate carvings of mythical creatures and flora adorning them. Elurin pointed out the city crest emblazoned in gold on the gate, a majestic unicorn with its horn gleaming in the sunlight. It was a symbol of the city's strength, purity, and nobility, and it was clear that Rívoen was a city to be reckoned with. Aerin couldn't wait to explore its secrets.
The guards stationed on either side of the gate wore shining silver armor, and carried gleaming swords at their sides. They looked at the group with a mix of suspicion and curiosity as they approached.
"State your business in Rívoen," one of the guards demanded.
"I'm Elurin Mirendor, Lord of Ítria, these are Galadel Aerladrim and... Lady Aerin. We are here for the meeting with Queen Eryone," Elurin replied smoothly, his voice carrying an air of confidence.
The guards exchanged a look before nodding, and the gates slowly creaked open, allowing the group to pass through.
Inside the city, Elurin pointed out the various landmarks and sights, his eyes sparkling with delight as he shared his knowledge with the others. They passed by towering statues of ancient fey heroes, and bustling markets filled with all sorts of wares and trinkets.
As they made their way through the busy streets, Aerin couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder at the magical city before her. It was like nothing she had ever seen before.
Merchants of all kinds peddled their wares, their voices ringing out in the air. The buildings were grand, with intricate carvings and details adorning the walls. As they walked, Aerin observed the variety of people in the city. There were high fey with their striking beauty, and lesser fey with peculiar features, but none of them were unappealing or grotesque.
"This city is even more beautiful than I imagined," Aerin said, her eyes wide in wonder.
“It's one of the most beautiful cities in the land," Elurin agreed. "The architecture and design are heavily influenced by the ancient kingdom of Mythor. Their use of marble and intricate mosaics can be seen throughout the city, giving it an air of classical elegance and nobility.”
Aerin found herself drawn to the market stalls lining the streets, the vibrant colors and exotic smells tempting her senses. Galadel led the way through the busy crowds, expertly navigating through the throngs of people.
As they walked, Aerin noticed the occasional group of soldiers passing by, their armor and weapons gleaming in the sunlight.
"Over there," Galadel said, pointing towards a grand building in the distance. "That's the palace."
The palace of Eryone rose from the heart of the great fey city, a towering testament to power and splendor. Its façade blended elegance and majesty in perfect harmony. Tall, graceful columns of ivory supported an ornately carved entrance that glittered with intricate details in gold.
Stone reliefs graced the walls, depicting mythological scenes and legendary figures that seemed to come alive under the sunlight. Green flags fluttered proud in the wind like living things, eager to fly. They showed the emblem of a golden unicorn rearing up on its hind legs.
As the three friends neared the palace gates, they felt the haughtiness of the guards before them. Clad in shimmering silver armor, they scrutinized the trio with piercing, vigilant gazes, searching for any signs of hostile intentions or imminent danger.
The gardens before the palace were an enchanting invitation with their flowerbeds and crystal-clear fountains. They radiated an aura of serenity and power that captivated all who beheld them. Aerin was amazed by just the sight of it.
“It’s beautiful,” she whispered, her eyes wide with wonder.
“It is indeed,” Galadel agreed, his voice warm and nostalgic. He had been to the fey city before, but he never ceased to be impressed by its beauty.
The guards' stares were unrelenting as they examined the group closely, focusing on their worn and bloodstained garments. A small tension filled the air while the sentinels questioned their identities and motives with solemn expressions.
Elurin stepped forward once more, assuming the role of spokesperson for the group.
“I am Elurin Mirendor, Lord of Ítria, and these are my companions, Aerin and Galadel,” he declared, maintaining his upright and confident stance. “We have come at the invitation of the Queen to attend an important meeting.”
The guards listened attentively, their eyes fixed upon the trio as they evaluated the sincerity of their words. One of them nodded slightly and spoke in a crisp voice.
“Very well. You may enter.”
He gestured for them to follow him and led them through the gates, into the palace grounds. The other guard stayed behind, watching them with a wary eye.
The palace was even more magnificent up close, with its marble columns and arches, its stained glass windows and statues. The air was filled with the scent of flowers and the sound of water. Aerin felt a surge of awe and excitement as she walked beside Elurin and Galadel, who seemed equally impressed. They were passing through the garden, which was a riot of colors and shapes. The girl saw roses and lilies, orchids and tulips, and many other flowers she did not recognize. She also noticed some animals roaming freely among the plants, such as peacocks, butterflies and hummingbirds. She wondered if they were real or enchanted.
The guard stopped abruptly and held up a hand.
“Wait here,” he ordered, his tone cold and authoritative. He walked away, leaving them alone in the middle of the garden. Aerin wondered what he was doing, and if they were in any danger.
She glanced at her companions, who looked calm. Elurin met her gaze and gave her a small smile.
“Don’t worry,” he whispered. “We’ll be fine.”
She nodded, hoping he was right.
They waited for what seemed like an eternity, until the guard finally returned. He looked slightly annoyed, but also relieved.
“The Queen’s emissary is waiting for you on the terrace,” he announced, pointing to a stone staircase that led to a higher level of the palace. “Follow me.”
He turned and walked briskly towards the stairs, expecting them to obey without question.
Elurin, Aerin and Galadel exchanged a look of curiosity, then followed him. They hoped to meet the Queen soon.
The story is back! I hope you guys enjoy. XD
