Is to tired to write a real artist comment.But I'm really happy with this Shen Painting
It was kinda outta the blue, I was hopping to unwind and so I started painting green clouds.

CLOOOOOOUDS. I LOVE me some pretty clouds! And man you did an AWESOME job here!! The greenish tint to those clouds was an AWESOME touch! Especially when paired with that peachy orange color!

You should...make it like those Chinese (I'm not being racist cause i'm Asian) scrolls. it owuld add a nice authentic look to it.

It's a pity we do not see the "various pockets", I do not know how to define it, in the wing as on its reference.
But the passage of the shadow has the light of clouds is very attractive

Yeah that's me being lazy and tired... I do plan to tough this painting up a bit today and add Shen's beautiful butterfly wing markings ^^ u have a good eye for stopping that it was missing :3

wow this is gorgeous. I absolutely love the colors of the background and shen's beautiful colors stand out but she doesnt look like a sore thumb. her pose is very elegant she looks like shes having a wonderful time. her anatomy is very beautiful. i also really like how this image is scaled i love long images with lots of clouds and flying poses
out of curiosity because i struggle with clouds and flying poses. did you use any references?

I have a huge collection of cloudy references and yeah there were a few I used for references for this but I only used the photos as a guide. For Shen and her flying pose i didn't need a reference, I started with the background and made her to fit the page with out obscuring the the background which I had put a lot of effort into. :3
