Finding a good palette for him was a massive pain...

Anyways, you may notice there isn't a sword in sight. There's a reason for this! Keir is not the average sword-swinging lead character. In fact, he never lifted such a weapon in his life! So what does he do...? Well, he's a Mage! Well, a special kind of Mage. Keir's mastered all three primary elements of the Magic Triangle, so he can use Fire, Ice AND Electric spells (although they're not as powerful or as advanced as attacks from a dedicated mage of the respective element).
On top of that, Keir has also founded a new type of Magic that involves all three elements at once: Delta Spells. Delta attacks amplify both the strengths and weaknesses of the three primary elements, being able to absolutely destroy Light-Magic using foes at the cost of being very weak to Dark attacks. Powerful, but very slow and costly when it comes to SP/MP/Whatever.
If you compare him to other Mages, Keir is more physically durable and is better all-round, but lags behind with somewhat lower SP/MP/Whatever and rather low MDEF.
