Description
As glowing, vertical-slit pupiled eyes opened, Gaara lazily awoke. As he got up, he smiled. Breakfast was on it's way already! He could hear their voices echoing down the dead halls.

"I am going to kill that THING. It stole my child" An angry mother whispered to a man who was obviously her husband.
The husband was about to say something back, but didn't, as the vampire was approaching them.
Gaara said, "She came here of her own free will. But that doesn't mean she's still alive."
The woman paled visibly. The man stepped in front of her, and whispered to the woman tearfully "Find our childs body and get out of here... Tell our son I'm sorry."
The woman nodded, turned and ran. Gaara's eyed narrowed. "Make a left, not a right, if you want to find her before I go looking for you." The evil glowing his eyes didn't leave the prey in front of him. The woman came from the left turn and went into the right one. A few minutes later she screamed. Knowing that your child is dead is one thing... Seeing it is another. (AN: I have first-hand experience.)
The man stared at the vampire determindly. He was going to keep the creature delayed as long as possible.
"Well, aren't you going to try to kill me with that chunk of wood in your pocket?"
The man twitched. How did he know?
The vampire smiled at his distress.
The vampire took a step toward him, "If you aren't even going to try, I'll just have to rip your head off, and then keep your woman here for a later snacking.. and of course I won't kill her... Someone who has lost their entire family tend taste very good, with all that dispair inside them. Especially when they've lost their will to live..." His eyes were half-lidded in the pleasent memory.
The man felt a surge of anger and need to protect his wife. He drew the stake and lunged at Gaara.
Gaara didn't even seem to notice. When the guy was inches away from where he had the stake aimed, a sandy hand backhanded him into a wall. The man gasped as slammed into the wall and slid down it.
Gaara snapped back to reality and looked down at the man. "Why do you people even try? I wouldn't kill you all the time if you weren't such violent creatures."
The man glared up at the vampire. The vampires gaze changed to a hungry look as he spotted blood coming from the mans mouth.
"Oh, I'm sorry, did I hit you too hard? I forget how fragile you humans are."
It went silent for a while. A womans weeping could be heard.
The man lunged again. Sand whacked him again and he went tumbling down the hall.
"You are starting to bore me."
"Please don't kill her.."
The vampire eyed him with interest. "Hmm. My last pet did die not to long ago.. It would be nice to have a new one."
The mans eyes widened at the chance for his wife to live. "Anything.."
"Relax in your last moments of life. I will let her live."

The vampire strode down the halls, searching for the woman.
Eventually he found her, carrying the childs cold corpse and crying. She had heard the blood spatter as her husband died. The vampire appeared in front of her.
She stopped. She fell to the floor, giving up. The vampire picked the child's body up. She looked up at him in horror, expecting him to defile the poor things body.
"Come on." Gaara commanded.

He dragged the woman with him as he ventured out into the dark to bury the child.
"W-why?"
Gaara glared "You are my pet. I will take blood from you whenever I please."
She shot a nasty look at him. "What? No."
"It is not your decision."
"I refu-" The vampire stepped forward, cutting her off by piercing her throat with his fangs. She gasped.

When he felt her start to weaken, he pulled away. She fell forward and he caught her. "So troublesome."

He tossed her into a room and locked it. He looked at her through an opening in the door. "You will be staying here for the rest of your life, biding your time as I bid it. I will let you leave during the day, but if you don't come back, I'll kill your son."
She looked weakly up at him. Her head fell back down.
"So, what's your name, anyway?"
She stared miserably at the wall. "Sakura."
He stared at her pink-haired head. The pink still annoyed him.
"I am your master, Gaara. Address me as either 'master' or 'Gaara'".
