~My wings~

~Prologue~

I must find her soon... Before they find me and my race is toast.' A good-looking man with blood red hair thought while lurking in the shadows. It was nighttime. I know she is near.. I can feel it'. The man closed his eyes and continued searching for her with his mind.  He was sure he would know her presence when he felt it.
It had been a while and he had used a lot of energy in his ceaseless searching.  He was exhausted, for he hadn't slept in days.  Just before hitting zero, he called out to her with the last of his might.--

;Ugh! I hate my life!',  a moody teenage girl of 17 thought.  She was having a bad day at school. "The stupid teachers give out so much work these days!  Ised,  I can't stand this!" Tarashi silently complained at Ised.  Ised was a great friend of hers, Tarashi didn't think she could live without her because Ised helped to keep her from doing anything stupid.

~Just after school~

Tarashi managed to get all her work done before the day was over but was still irritated about it all.
Angrily, she started home.  A red-haired guy sitting under a tree, who appeared to be meditating, caught her eye.  She found herself liking the guy and could not stop herself from staring at him.  He twitched as she walked by.

When she made it home she found that she was calm.
Memories of her school day fixed that. She kicked her shoes off at the wall. She got frustrated but tried to keep herself calm enough not to lose it again. Alone, it was much easier to. Since ‘that' happened she wasn't as stable as she used to be.
Her anger flared even more when she realized she forgot something important at school. She put her shoes back on. Threw the door open and stomped her way back to the school.
The red-haired guy twitched again as she walked by. She giggled.
After retrieving her special notebook from the school, she began to wonder if the guy was alright. Because after passing by a third time he twitched again.

~Morning, the next day (Friday)~

Tarashi saw the red-haired guy on her way to school again and wondered if he'd been there all night. He twitched a fourth time.

~After school~

Tarashi and Ised were walking to Tarashi's house. Ised was staying the night at Tarashi's. Tarashi began to take another route home and Ised asked "Why are you going that way?" Tarashi grinned back at her and said "I want to know for sure if this way is shorter." The original route would have led them past the red-haired guy, and Tarashi was starting to be afraid of him, twitching and stuff.
~Very late that night~

Staying up late with your best friend is a blast. We all know that.

It had gotten very late when Ised and Tarashi were about to go to bed, when Tarashi suddenly heard someone yell TARASHI!!!...............'.
Tarashi jumped. She felt like someone just screamed for her right in her ears. She had a feeling like she had to go help someone. She ran for the door, barely pausing to get shoes on as she flew out the door and ran blindly down the street.
Someone tackled her from behind. It was Ised who tackled her. They hit the ground. She whispered in Tarashi's ear, "what the HELL are you doing?! Suddenly freaking out and running outside!"
Tarashi was shaking. "Let go of me Ised! Something's - something's wrong! Somebody needs help!"
Ised stared. She didn't know what to do besides try to show Tarashi everything was fine... "Okay.." Ised got up off of Tarashi. Tarashi had calmed down a bit but still looked just as worried.

After ten minutes of jogging, Tarashi stopped three feet away from the same tree she had seen the twitching red haired man - in his place was now an unconscious Peregrine falcon.
"Is it dead?" Ised asked, poking it with a stick. "So what do we do? Take it to your house? Your mother would love that." Ised replied with sarcasm. Tarashi picked up the bird.
Tarashi touched it's beak and whispered "Telkcihc".
