You have read/seen people shape shift before. This wasn't much different.
As he changed, her look of scepticism melted from doubt to incredulity to longing. "You.. You.. You are.. A bird...."
'Yes, and together we..'
"What?" Tarashi looked about curiously, looking for the source of the voice before realizing it was in her head. Her eyes went wide with shock. She stared at Telkcihc for a couple of minutes before thinking:'What kind of hallucinatory drug is this??'
Tarashi was thinking about running away before wondering about what she would see when she got out. At this rate, it was best to stay indoors...
Telkcihc tilted his head, Hallucinatory? Drug? What.. Oh, yeah, now I remember, weird stuff, that. But why would she think... oh....'
As Tarashi waited to find out what Crazy Guy was up to, she suddenly had visions of explosions. She ran to Telkcihc and scooped up the bird and went running out the door. She ran around to the other side of the neighbors house. Just as she was around the corner, they both heard the explosion. Tarashi gasped and clutched Telkcihc tightly.-

"He's not here," said a slightly evil looking woman, who was walking around in the half destroyed apartment building.
"Then where is he?"Said a hooded man.
"I don't know, he was here just a second ago, he can't be far, should we look for him?"
"Yes, find him but just watch him, so that when he finds that one girl we can take her".
"Right." She disappeared. He sighed and ran his hand through his hidden shoulder-length dark-blue hair. He gave an evil smirk and stepped quietly out of the building.

Tarashi was shaking violently. Telkcihc turned into a human, so as to comfort her. She was to scared to notice.
"Wh-what-what was- what, why did they just blow that place up?!" She started stammering question about what the weird people were talking about, when Telkcihc cut her off :
"Us."
Tarashi looked down at Telkcihc with eyes wider than dinner plates. She was frozen with fear for quite awhile when she suddenly jumped off him, realizing that she was laying on a hot red-head, in a very suggestive-looking position.
She shook her head, how could she be thinking about things like that after what just happened! She peeked around the corner for the hooded guy. He was nowhere to be seen. She sighed in relief.
Telkcihc actually felt fear. They really were looking for him. He thought there was just the possibility of it, but wasn't sure.
"We have to get out of here".
"No kidding."
"Come on". She grabbed his arm, and half-ran away from where they were. It was obviously not safe here.

~Probably about an hour later~

"Do you know of any good hiding places?" Tarashi asked, exhausted. They had been trying to get distance from the apartment. "Like, your house or something?"
Telkcihc said "You mean the place they blew up? Sure."
"You lived there??"
"What's that supposed to mean?!"
Tarashi looked at him, about to yell something back, but changed her mind. She just couldn't yell at him. She looked down at her walking feet.
"What about your house?"
Tarashi's head jerked up. She barely knew the guy and she was already having to take him to her house. "Oh, right. Okay."
Telkcihc took a left.

~Tarashi's house~

Tarashi and Telkcihc walked into Tarashi's house. Her mother came around a corner and laid eyes on the two. "Is... he a new boy...friend?". Her mother looked as though she were about to pass out.
"N-"
"Yea, I am." Telkcihc wrapped and arm around Tarashi.
Both females looked like they were going to pass out. Tarashi gaped at Telkcihc, red with blushing.
"Nice to meet you, Tarashi's mother."
Tarashi's mother shuffled to her room, holding her head. Trying to wrap her mind around what she just saw... Tarashi with a boyfriend....Whoa.
Telkcihc picked Tarashi up, bridal-style, and carried her to her room. He set her on the couch and bent forward to...
Tarashi's mother walked in Tarashi's room to ask a question, then, seeing how close the two were together, left.
Telkcihc's face was so close to hers.. Tarashi tilted her face up to get kissed, eyes closed. She could feel his breath on her face. It felt so good, she was gonna be kissed, finally. She opened her eyes just a little slit. She saw the hooded man. She screamed at the top of her lungs.
Telkcihc shook Tarashi, "What's wrong with you?!" Tarashi wouldn't stop screaming. "Tarashi! Look at me!" Tarashi opened her eyes again and stopped screaming. She was shaking. Her mother came running in, thinking Tarashi was getting killed or something.
"What happened??" her mother asked, seeing that everything was fine.
"I don't know, she hallucinated something weird."
"Scary person," Tarashi muttered, looking pouty. Her mother stared at Tarashi for a full minute, then left.
When she was gone, Tarashi said "I'm sorry, I.. Totally killed the.. Mood"
"You've done no such thing" He stepped forward and pulled Tarashi into an embrace. Then his lips pressed against hers.
Tarashi felt like she was flying. Kissing felt so nice. She never knew that it felt so pleasant!

When he pulled away, Tarashi had a strange feeling - tingling all over it felt like. Tarashi looked herself. "Are people supposed to glow like this when they kiss your kind?"
"You are so beautiful." Telkcihc breathed.
Tarashi sighed and went over to her mirror, to make sure her appearance didn't change. It hadn't, but the glowing did make her seem a bit prettier...

~School, Tuesday~

Tarashi went roaming the halls before home room started, as she had nothing better to do, when the dark-blue haired guy from the previous day came up to her. Tarashi didn't know that he was the same guy.
"Hey, Aevil." Her mind was elsewhere, thinking of the night she and Telkcihc kissed.
"Not very enthusiastic today are we?" Suddenly, he realized that Tarashi had made contact with Telkcihc.
She noticed the change in his expression,"What's wrong with you?" Tarashi said worriedly. He had been her best friend since before this school year had even started.
"Oh! Nothing.." He composed his shocked expression and grinned. "It's almost time for home room,"
"Oh!" She looked at a clock. What he said was true. "Oh, man. Well, lets go.." he always walked her to her classes... Every single one, which she found a bit peculiar. People just didn't care that much about her.
They walked to her home room. When she entered, she turned around and waved him good-bye. She watched his dark-blue hair swish behind him as he left for his own home room.
Where he really went, was not home room. In fact, when no one was looking, he merely disappeared.
The moment the bell rang, he was already waiting for her to leave so they could walk to her next class.

When school ended, Tarashi left her last class and dropped her school stuff in her locker.
Aevil obviously had to take the bus home because he never followed her around after school.
As Tarashi left the school building, she noticed some fellow students looking at the top of the flagpole, saying something about an eagle on it. She looked up at it. It was a falcon, not an eagle. A peregrine falcon whose head-feathers were rather red-tinged.
She was so excited, that she nearly squealed in delight. Telkcihc spread his wings and flew toward the nearby forest. She, of course, went that way, instead of going straight home like usual.
When she finally made it in the forest, she saw Telkcihc, in human form, sitting on a high branch. Upon seeing her, he leapt down and landed with a very light thud, several feet from her.
She took a few steps towards him.
"So, tomorrow is your birthday?" he asked calmly.
"H-how did you know?" Tarashi asked shocked.
"We can talk telepathically, you know. It's been on your mind all day." he said very calmly.
After a few minutes of her gaping at him, he closed the space between them in a hug. She tensed, then relaxed into him.
Approximately ten minutes later, she opened her eyes and looked up at him. He was staring at her. He said "have you ever wanted to go flying before?"
"Of course!" after a pause she noticed the time and decided to get home. Telkcihc walked her home.
