Kureema froze. The wise-woman had sadness in her eyes. Kureema started "H- how did you know?"
"So it's true then.. I see.... Do you wish to go back?"
"To where?"
"Above the sea."
"...Since he died.. I have no reason to go back."
"Then you wish to stay?"
"I do wish to see my family again..."
"..If you could go... Back in time, and save ‘him', would you?"
Kureema's eyes lit up. "Sil... can you do that??" Sil was the wise-woman's name.
"I could but.." Sil looked very sad, which was very, very unusual. "If you were to go back in time, you would have to stop yourself from falling into the sea...."
"... and the oceans would be the way they were before I came here.." Kureema finished. The only way to be human again would be to go back in time.. But if she were to save herself, she could save her boyfriend!!
"But one problem.. If you go back, you will still be a mermaid..."
Kureema's heart fell out through her guts.
"But if everything goes correctly, you will be happily with your ‘him'. But you won't remember a thing about actually being here. Meaning the oceans will have never had your presence, and will be the way it was before you made it here..
"But another problem... In order to actually go back.....You have to kill your present self. If things go wrong, your existence will go into a continual loop and you'll be dead no matter what, leaving the oceans to be in complete chaos."

~Part 3~

Kureema gulped.
"Or, you could find someone else to kill you... Don't look at me! I can't do it!"
"So, how does this work? I die, and poof I'm magically back in time?" Kureema said, shakingly.
"A bit more complicated than that but, pretty much, yeah."
"So, uh, when do we do this?"
"Midnight. Tonight"

"TOA! There you are! It took me hours to find you!" Kureema said, breathlessly.
"What's the rush? What's wrong, you pregnant?"
"This isn't the time for jokes. Come." Kureema took Toa's arm and swam restlessly toward the place where Sil said to meet.
"Am I in trouble?"
Kureema looked at Toa darkly. "I need you to kill me"

"I'm not doing it." Toa said stubbornly. "I'm not going to kill my queen, and ruin the oceans, just so she can be a human.
"Toa... If I go back, I will get to see my boyfriend... I loved him so much.."
"You loved somebody?" Toa seemed to think things over.
"More than you could imagine.." -Time was running out. Kureema started biting her lip.
"I can't do it.." Toa said as though she wanted to help.
"You have to. Please!" Kureema pleaded.
"Hurry up ladies" Sil said calmly
Toa looked at the bone knife. She squeezed her eyes closed. "If you want to die so bad, you do it!" she threw the knife to Kureema. It landed on a rock beside her.
Kureema picked up the knife. She put the tip to her chest.
"Kureema..." Toa started crying. When mermaids cry, they cry little pearls. Kureema caught one.
"Don't worry, you won't remember anything about me.." Kureema smiled "You won't even remember I existed. Hell, I won't even remember you." Toa cried harder. "Toa, darling, stop."
"I can't." Toa said between sobs.
Kureema lowered the knife and hugged Toa."Well, you wont be crying anymore soon." Kureema pulled away from Toa, and started crying herself.
"Well, this is the most touching one I've had to do." Sil said crossly. There was a pearl at the ground beneath her.
"You've done this before?" Kureema asked.
"Yes, for your mother." Sil took the knife from Kureema's hands and stabbed her with it. "As heartless as this sounds, hurry up and die."
"Sil!" Toa shreiked.
"If she doesn't die soon she won't make it!"
"Oh, Kureema!" Toa took the knife that was sticking out of Kureema and tossed it aside. She gripped Kureema and pulled her dying friend into a hug. "Kureema, Kureema" she repeated over and over.
Kureema could feel her consciousness blurring.
Everything was going dark...
"...Oh, and I am your grandmother..." Kureema could barely hear Sil say....

Everything had gone so dark, she couldn't see anything anymore... She suddenly saw her boyfriend. She cried out to him and ran towards him. "I love you so much! I love you, I love you, I love you!!!" Just before they were together, she was suddenly jerked backwards... Through time...........
