I dropped to my knees, bleeding profusely. I stared up at him, who was holding the now bloody weapon, with wide innocent eyes. "Why?" I asked tearfully. "You know how much I love you.."
"There's no way we could ever be together." He said, giving the blade he'd plunged into my heart a lick. He tossed it aside casually.
I clutched at my heart, feeling immense pain in two places; My physical heart and emotional one.
He turned away from me to leave me to die. I frantically called out to him; "W-wait! Please..."
He glanced back to me and said coldly "Just die already." As if by command, I fell forward to lay weakly on the ground; I'd lost to much blood and death was near.
I started crying as I watched him leave my dying body. I cried as I became more distant. I started feeling as though I were floating.. Out of my body.
I tried desperately to cling to my body, but the figure holding a scythe was tugging at me harder than I could cling. "Good bye, my lo..." My last breath escaped me right then.

Transformation

I shivered again as I sat huddled in the chair by the computer, chatting with an online friend. My bloodlust was rising.
The friend I was talking to complained of the same thing. Sure, we had always felt a small touch of bloodlust, but lately it had gotten much stronger. Coincidently, so was the moon. It was getting fuller and fuller. It was also the time of year for it to be a lunar eclipse.
We asked each other and ourselves the same questions over and over. What was going to happen to us? Were we going to change into vampires or werewolves? What if it was something far worse?
We waited for the faithful night to arrive fearfully. Or anxiously, because we knew that after it we would, at least temporarily, be relieved of the constant tension of the bloodlust.
On the night of the full moon, I stepped outside to wait for the eclipse. It was so soon..
I was suddenly knocked to my knees by a violent shudder. It was starting. I instinctively knew my friend was going through the same thing.
