Description Trireme

The Forest God Beasts stand out from the group not because they're more advanced high-tech, but low tech. They don't have any organic cannons, no metallic armor and no camera eyes. They instead have the standard light filter eyes. So what makes the Triremes so god like? Their personalities.

Triremes are very intelligent and persistant. Among the forests of Worm Trees, they stand motionless waiting for prey to arrived close, mistaking their three tentacled gait for a grove. The victim is slashed at the leg and finds itself in a desperate escape for survival as the predator remains in pursuit sometimes for hours as they have excellent stamina. The prey eventually runs low on fuel and is finished off with a blow to the main computer.

Triremes can also make use of their impressive horns as weapons which are also used as balance for the animal. The horns vary in shape slightly for each creature. Females and Males have horns identical in average length and the same color scheme, making it hard to tell the two apart. The two purple appendages on their back provides additional balance and the males use it for display. When it's not mating season, like most other God Beasts, the Triremes are solitary.

The red color of the limbs is an indicator of a clever adaptation shared by a few other inhabitants of Tunjera. They can absorb essential gasses direction from the air to provide additional energy to the flexible animal. Due to their double necks and the large organ structure, turning their heads isn't easy, so they prefer to twist their bodies around to observe their surroundings. The gill like structures are used for temperature regulation and to help the animal pick up sounds. Like the Mountain God Beasts, they also have a major portion of their organs in a structure in the back of their bodies.

Triremes can be very violent animals. When threatened, they are known to attack animals much larger than them. That includes Titaniscythes who try to devour their homes, the Worm Tree forests. Their flexibility and quick speed allow them to dodge the weapons of the Desert God Beasts and counter with slashes to their backs, forcing them to leave. Triremes are also far more common than the giant snake-like creatures. A report suggests that they will even go as far as to team up against a persistant Titaniscythe and hack at it until it dies.

These facts would support the reason Forest God Beast earned their status as gods to the eyes (or camera lenses or whatever they used to see) of the former inhabitants and gardians of the forests. They went even as far as to create specialised clones for the world of J'era Kai, having implanted new engine parts and a fifth eye to symbolise the superior five eyed God Beast.

"Triremes are one of my favourite animals from Tunjera as they were one of the first designed. The original design actually had four long spider like legs. It was also the start of a much more alien world that would not be mistaken for planet Earth."

With a thousand lies
And a good disguise
Hit ‘em right between the eyes
Hit ‘em right between the eyes
When you walk away
Nothing more to say
See the lightning in your eyes
See ‘em running for their lives

Are they fast runners?

Not very. Forests are dense so it's hard to run through. They are mostly ambush predators but they can jog for some time as their wounded prey attempts to escape.
