Description I came upon a design for a separate species on planet Eve. Compared to the first who have robust flexible armor and warm colored, now we have another species with fused soft armor of a cold color. These animals are mostly blue or purple in color with a few exceptions. They have a similar ancestors to the other species but have evolved different survival methods. This new species also has several eyes, but are instead inside the carapace and pointed in different directions. Since their heads are fused with their body, they can't turn their heads around. Their mouth is closed off from the rest of the digestive system and only the tongue remains. That tongue is also the animals sense of smell (like a snake) and is used to clean the eyes. In return, the stomach has become a giant clamp holding digestive jelly and food is stored inside for digestion.
There is a closer link to the muscular and respiratory system now. Each muscle linking the limbs of the animals are like balloons, and the animals breathe into separate holes to move the legs around. In order to breathe, these animals must constantly move their limbs. Therefor, the predators of these species are not ambush predators usually, but can easily out run their prey and have amazing stamina. They are also not at risk of hyperventilating, they are making use of the planet's thick atmosphere.

The animal shown above with the two large sails is a herbivore. The males use tusks to fight each other competing for females.

cute.. Pretty common trait male competition for the females affection.
btw why do all your species for alien planets seem to be animals? is it impossible for lifeforms to live on your planets?
