I think it is beautiful despite the ruined negatives.

lovely photograph. i like grainy vignetting. is that what snappy snaps did? if so, it was worth it for this shot...

This is great, it reminds me of those old British postcards from Brighton and Blackpool in the 50's. Plus its Tri-x and shot with a EM, whats not to like. Also most high street shops are geared for c-41 colour film, not B&W. Believe me I managed a one hour photo for a year and trained in dozens of staff, 95% of people that work in those places don't know shit.
Also get your self some Kodak D-76 Developer, some stop bath, and fixer. Block out the window in your bathroom, and here's a website that will tell you the rest. [link]
You'll smell real good as well when you use this stuff.

not bad considering the trauma it has been through.
However...the noise? is that due to the mangled processing or, other factors?

you make it sound like the noise ruins it.
i personally think the noise adds a quality to the photo that would be lost without it.
with the noise it feels like this picture is old and gives the whole scene a different atmosphere. if it were crisp and clear i don't think it would be quite the same.
