Description
While I was doodling some ponies looking at the moon (more specifically fillies Vinyl and Octy) I wondered if Luna did the same thing when she was stuck up there.
Then I realized that she probably did just that for the majority of 1000 years. How could she not? Stuck on a barren, grey rock with nothing to do, nothing to distract her, nopony to talk to. The only colours would be herself, the planet and the sun, all of which would likely painfully remind her to why she'd be banished.
Seeing she sun, the symbol of her sister, would be the only source of light and warmth. Every time she'd look at the planet she'd wonder how the ponies there would be doing, if the ones she knew where still alive or not and how they lived their lives if not. You see, there's no sense of time up there, no sun or moon rotating around it to mark the days as the moon always faces the planet.
Basically, it most likely sucked big time, and it's all the more impressive that she managed to hold on to some part of her sanity and that she managed to adopt so quickly again.

Princess Luna and Nightmare Moon are characters from the television show My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, which is owned by Hasbro. For the surface of the moon I used an image by NASA which was adapted thoroughly, but still, giving credit where credit is due.
