awesome, but my only issue is NASA making military vehicles. I think i understand why you made it NASA. I'm guessing to show that it's mars and that it's not in the distant distant future?

Ever read Red Mars?
The 100 colonists of mars are sent by the UN, and consist of all nationallities, mainly Russian Cosmonauts, and American Astronauts.
The UN creates a treaty declaring no nation or corperation can have a Β holding on Mars, and cannot own anything on Mars.
GUESS WHAT
Corperations and nations immediately begin consolidating holds on Mars. "forget the treaty"
More settlers are sent, many on corperate contracts that dictate they work until they collapse.
GUESS WHAT
The newest settlers think this is a gross abuse of power. They rebel
the UN, known as UNOMA, sends troops.
Shit hits the fan.
I highly reccomend the book. It is the reason I even looked up this tank, which, by the way, is pretty awesome.

First off: Nice tank design
Although NASA or the army for that part would've designed the tank a little bit differently. For example the turret ring is pretty much exposed, possibly jamming the turret if hit. If the martians would simply penetrate the tank, your design is pretty awesome though.
If you didn't guess it already, I'm a bit of a tanknut.

Interesting. Is it a tank specifically built for Martian geographic, atmospheric and gravitic conditions, or would it be able to function in a wide range of environments? Also, considering the various sensor pods mounted on the main cannon, is it capable of autonomous action?

The turret is too big for the chassis unless there were stabilization systems, but otherwise the design looks plausible.

Tank must have a railgun. Say 20 mm, so to light enough for aerotransport and big enough to pierce armor. Hey is the tank remote control or AI control? If not either then two man; As for the rifles, 6.8 mm caseless design. And let's not forget that you're account of NASA being armed, must be a PMC. Or Private Military Contractors ( Mercenaries for those in the regular lingo). Now a jeep and the soldier suits made like this and baby we are in heaven!!!!!!!.
