Ain't that just the CUTEST- Gosh... That's one of the first chibi's I've ever done. XD Any how... this is Talina from the Zelda universe. I'm hoping that some people will use THEIR Zelda OCs to interact with mine~

I guess I start XP
The scribe was skipping rocks on the lake, taking a short break from trying to find the next town. She was close to a a village she knew that much but every time she thinks she's getting closer something always manages to distract her and make her disoriented all over again. She has too stay focused if she's going to get anywhere but fates left her lost and every attempt, frustrated.
Her hand strayed to her head, tangling her hair in the process. An old habit that arose when she was under stress.
She groaned and chucked a heavy stone like she would with her spears, by passing the lake.

Talina was often one of the few who traveled through this thick area of the woods. A bow was clasped firmly in her hands as she wandered in search of a deer, or anything really. Her stock was short in supply, her rupees running low. She wandered to an opening, and the sound of a stone splashing against the water. She yelped and turned to the noise, seeing a girl across the way, looking slightly agitated.

Serena looked up at the yelp and strained to see who made it.
"Hello?" She got up and dusted herself off. "Anyone there?"

Talina flushed, her heart began thudding against her chest. "H...Hello." She called meekly. "I'm...s-sorry if I bugged you. I was just p-passing through." She called.

"No problem. Actually I was hoping that you could help me out." She walked over to her. "I'm trying to get the the town around here but I keep getting... for the lack of a better word, distracted" She grabbed her forearm at the memory. "Could you show me the way?"

"Sh-Show you...the way?" She cleared her throat, looking very embarrassed...or was it nervous? "I...I could..." She turned and looked to the sun. "It's...oh it's this way." She turned and pointed East. "I...I can take...you there." She began walking.

"Much obliged. My name's Serena." She followed her taking note of her uneasiness. "Is something wrong?" She knew she could be scary but they just barely met.
"I'm pale because I hardly got any sun when I was younger. I'm not a ghost.or a monster which some do say :/"

"I...I didn't...Think you were a monster." Talina said, turning slightly to meet her gaze for a small moment. "I'm....I'm Talina." She turned back and stared at her feet, her face radiating heat as she quickly became embarrassed.

"..." She rolled her eyes not really know what she should say. She promised herself that she would try to converse more but she wasn't making this very easy.
Her eyes fell on the bow and arrows she was carrying.
"You're an archer?"

Talina glanced at her bow. "I'm not...e-exactly an archer...but I'm a hunter...trapper... I sell...pelts and the meat..." She rubbed her neck and glanced back at the girl. "Wh-" She breathed in, trying to calm herself. "What do you do...?" She asked.

"I used to be a scribe. Though I no longer do that I still call myself one. I am uhh... I guess you could say I'm a traveler? or someone who travels in search of something."

"Oh...What...what are you...searching for...exactly?" Talina asked curiously, stepping over a fallen log and walked to the path.

"You're going to think I'm crazy but... I don't know. Something." She stepped on the log and over as well. "Someone maybe. I just feel like I'm missing something important but I have no idea what or who it is."
"All I know is that my life won't be complete with out it. heh. strange isn't it. I've been feeling this way for 4 years and I have yet to find anything." She shrugs.
"But enough about me. What were you doing out here in the woods?"

"I...was hunting. Looking for something. My stock in my cabin is getting low and the next shipment is next Friday...the man I work for will get angry if I don't have it..." She held her arms and traveled along the path.

"You're in need of some money?" Serena crossed her arms in thought. "Do they have taverns in town? In all the one's I've been to people usually put quests or missions up. You could try to do one of those. The rewards are usually good... I could...help you? if you don't mind that is."

"O-Oh...no. I'm not tight on money...just meat and pelts... I needed to restock my shack so that the man who comes to get them will have enough for the local markets..." She looked at her feet for a moment and then back at Serena. "B-but...I suppose...if you wanted...that is... we could do a quest...together. Sure." She nods slighlty

"I'd like that." Serena tried a smile, though it was a while since she's worn one so it may or may not have looked right. "Maybe there's a quest that will help you out. You never know. There have been some rather... questionable quests offered." She huffed thinking of the absurd quests she's come across.

"...Questionable...?" Talina repeated. "Like what?" She had never stayed in town longer than needed. Too many people.

"Do you really want to know?" She cast Talina a look. "Well there are some people who want entertainment and are willing to pay someone to make a fool of themselves like dressing up like a cucco and speaking with a potato in their mouth. Then there are quests who require someone to go through some difficult and demeaning trials. People come back with things missing and things added." She shook her head.
"Well here's the Tavern. or something like it." Serena found the Quest board and started browsing though them. "You see anything interesting?"

Talina blinked, not realizing they had made it into town. She suddenly paled but forced herself to keep her eyes on the board. She scanned the contents and read quickly. "...I didn't know women got paid to do that..." She muttered then read another. "How about this one...?" She pointed to the quest that required proof of the Yeti's in the snowy mountains. Photo or physical evidence requested.

"hmm that seems possible. And while we're at it you could find some other snow creatures."
She starts rummaging through her bag. "I don't know how well picto boxes work in the snow but I have one if we can't get physical evidence." She pulls it out when mentioned. "Let's take the flyer. Do you know the way to the snowy mountains?or a map perhaps..?"

Talina nodded. "I know the path. I travel up that way when it's winter. We'll need...heavy coats though." She looked around.

"There's a shop over there" She pointed at a building outside. "Maybe we'll find something. If not.. Well I can tailor a bit but don't expect anything pretty if I do."

"I don't need anything pretty as long as it keeps me warm in the snow..." She smirked. "Oh...well let's go get some coats..." She looked uneasy at the heavy coat store across the way.

"I like this grey one." She pulled out the coat that went to her knees. "It's also light enough to blend with the snow." Serena saw Talina's uneasy look at the coats. "They're not animals... anymore at least. Some of these might be from those pelts you sell."

"Huh? I wasn't thinking that...I just...all these...people around..." She sighed and sorted through the coats until she came across a light grey one with black speckles on it. "I'll take this one." She said.

"I'm not a people person either. One or two is all I can handle without straining my brain about what I should say." Serena paid for both their coats-"It's no problem," and left the store. "Guess you're leading the way again."

"I...yeah." She stopped after a few steps however. "Shouldn't I buy provisions? The mountains could get tricky and we could be stuck there for more than one...day. So ..."

"ah, you're right. Spotting a yeti, if any really exist, would take some time." She then muttered under her breath "and a lot of luck" She sighed how good her luck is. "I hope you're lucky. Now, to wherever the market place is."

"Well...I don't know about luck...but I do know about sightings. I have a couple areas that we could check out." She smiled gently, seeming to warm up to her new found companion.

"Great. So let's go get those supplies and find some yeti's." While at the market Serena bought a provisions pack and some extra film for her picto box.

Talina bought herself a pack and provisions to go inside. She also purchased a lantern and fire starters. "I'm ready." She said after packing up everything into her pack.

"Wonderful." Serena said with not as much enthusiasm as the word implied as they walked away from the busy stalls. "Now do we need a map or do you know your way?"

"I do know my mountain." Talina replied, looking slightly bashfull.

"Then let's go" Upon reaching the foot of the mountain the stopped. "Where do you think we should start looking?"
also, are you up for some plot complicating? XD like random action or drama to make this a little more fun?

Talina scanned the mountain hills. She scanned to the left, then to the right and pointed to the west. "We'll start heading that way, half the branches on that tree have been snapped or broken. It was either by some strong bird or our Yeti." She explained.

"Let's stop burning daylight then." Serena walked to the broken branched tree and found that the trees further away were in the same condition. She followed the subtle wreckage like a path until-
"oh my-!"
-She found what made it.
"...Well what do you know, Talina. It looks like both of your guesses were true"
Let's see how you interpret this situation (I had one in mind but let's see what our collective minds will do)

Talina stepped forwards beside Serena and looked to the area where a pack of large birds were scwabbling against the giant Yeti, who was picking them and swatting away the defenders. He sang about dinner as he went about his business. Talina got down on one knee and watched for a moment.
