Well, judging from your gallery, I'm SURE that would make plenty of sense to you. I, on the other hand, tend to despise most Bleach OCs, especially the females. Call me biased. Of course, I'm the sick fuck who's favorite paring EVER is Kenpachi and Piccolo from DBZ (currently writing a fic about how that would even make sense) So yeah, go for it. Knock yourself out. Just be sure to credit me appropriately if you, say, draw Kenpachi in the same outfit or something. I'll be waiting to see what you come up with.

DX I can only see one 'cannon' bleach pair, and that is HanatarouxGanju. As for crosspairing, I agree with you fully. But I prefer people who make their own oc's because it shows creativity and initiative on their part.

Unless, of course, they are the same character seen a million times, but with a new name and a fresh coat of paint. Creative OCs I like, but seldom do I find any. Cookie-cutter OCs piss me off, as I'm sure you can agree.

But something must be said for those that can stick to mostly cannon characters and create something truly unique with those characters, while still staying within the parameters set by the original creator. I've seen the same mediocre love story repeated over and over with people's OCs and their favorite character, and they drown out the few truly remarkable stories that would genuinely enthrall the reader and keep them guessing at what comes next. Maybe this story would make the reader think just a little differently about the canon characters involved, and it may not have been due to the addition of an OC at all. In truth, rarely, almost NEVER, do people even want to see their favorite characters with another person's OC. Those pictures or stories are ones to be made for oneself, and never particularly for the audience. When drawing or writing with other fans in mind, it is best to stick with canon characters, even if it's from another anime or video game. The sad reality is that no one really cares about your OC (I'm using the word "your" in a general sense, of course. I don't mean yours in particular, just one not belonging to the audience member) Not unless it is truly unique and remarkable. In this sense, even pairing Kenpachi with a detestable character like Orihime is superior to a pairing with an OC.

Sorry for going on a bit of a tangent there. I tend to do that.

Ooookay then... If you hate cannon character and oc pairings that much then you will loathe my gallery and my fanfiction.net account. And a majority of the time, people write/create/draw an oc because they saw something someone else did and liked it so much that they decided to make their own. Me, I just do it because I want to and I like to so please don't hate, appreciate, because I personally don't give a damn about what other people think of me. Don't think I am rude or mean, but please understand that I see almost ALL of the women in bleach being les or completely asexual, most of the guys to, save a few like Kenpachi and Grimmjow, and then I use them to decide how I want my oc to be and then I make my story based around the cannon characters and an oc who is funny and kinda nuts.

There. I said it.

That's fine. Write all you want. Draw all you want. Just continue do it for yourself. If someone else happens to like it, fantastic. If someone doesn't like it, that's their opinion. If you like it, that's all that really matters. Just remember that just because you think your character is the best thing since sliced bread, not everyone is going to share your opinion.

And just so you know, I don't hate OCs, I just tire of seeing them so often. And yes, I've looked at your gallery. While it's not the best, it's not God awful. A lot of room for improvement, which is good. What I've seen of Amzy is also not terrible, but not particularly that unique either. At least she's not a Mary Sue. But you're still starting out. Keep developing the character. There's still hope for her yet. I'm actually curious to see what you can do with her.

Personally, I feel the same about the females of Bleach. Most of them just make me want to cap them in the head. Why do you think I have Kenpachi pared up with Piccolo of all people? They're two of the few characters in anime in general that I can see vast, untapped potential for, even beyond what their original creators have done with them. Hell, the only reason I even put up with Bleach anymore is for Kenpachi and Mayuri Kurotsuchi. Sorry, I can't even jump on the Grimmjow bandwagon. Too much the generic tough guy.

What I'm trying to say is I'm not trying to be rude or mean either. I meant everything I said in as positive a manner as possible. I'm not hating, just trying to offer some advice, along with an opinion or two. Maybe trying to inspire someone to break free of the norm and try to do something truly unique.

That being said, might I interest you in looking at perhaps some of my newer pictures of Kenpachi? I drew this one so terribly long ago, I hate looking at it. I've made him look far sexier since then (especially that little 'reindeer' outfit I put him in one Christmas)

Uughh... I can't believe I've ranted so much over Orihime of all people... Yeah, I'm never drawing Bleach women again.
