Description A friend of mine on the outer banks in north carolina, staring at the sunset from the dunes. This was based off of a picture from the year before I went (so 2 years ago) that I turned into an oil painting. The sunsets we had when we were there were different, but still absolutely goregeous.

Wow, I thought this was a sunset photo. Very nice job. The water looks fantastic and the silhouetted person is perfect looking.

Wow, this is certainly eye catching. The sunset looks perfect, it really looks like you know just the exact colors to choose. This is beautiful, great work!

Love tho colours. It's kinda surreal in a way because of how the sun on the water doesn't blend in with the rest of the water. Definitely separates it from the cliche that way! I like it a lot!

Well, you already know what I think about this painting. . . but it doesn't hurt to say how awesome it is again.

Although, I was wondering. . . if Willshyre was staring out into the Atlantic, wouldn't the sun be setting behind him while it was setting?

Not like that makes a difference to the painting itself.

its because he's on the western side of the outer banks. You can see the shore of actual north carolina from there, but there's a big bay thingie betwen you and the mainland. Its pretty nifty cause the sunrise and sunset over the ocean are about a mile apartl.
