Description drawing project I turned in today. The assignment was "musicians," and being an oboe player, I wanted to draw an oboe. The girl is actually my sister.

Oboes rule!!! I play oboe. And clarinet. And piano. And guitar. I just realized that I am the biggest music nerd I know, and that no matter how much friends I get, I will still be the biggest music nerd I know. (But that's a good thing.) XD

Haha being an oboe nerd, I must do this: 'Either playing a low D, low Bb, low C, low C#, or low Eb.' Taking a closer look at the fingering... I'm going to guess low Bb.

I play the oboe too and it's such an under appreciated instrument. (Maybe because for the first couple of years, we sound like dying ducks XD)

Wow. This is absolutely fantastic. The way the light hits the shirt, and especially the cheek really does illuminate the joy featured in this drawing. The detail is spectacular...
The oboe is such a magnificent instrument, and how you portrayed it is wonderful. As a fellow oboist, Bravo!

I wish I had an english horn to play . . . . I've had to play 'english horn' for musicals, but its usually just transposed oboe . . . .
