First attempt at a regular anthro avatar. Not the creme de la creme yet, but I still think it's kinda cute. I'm still afraid of using too many prims, which is not good.This one has color changeable eyes which was a novum for me.
Also, my first try at building hair. x) arf! The head sphere is small enough to work with regular prim hair, so you can put whatever you like there.

Nah, I've given up. My 3D program let me know how much it hated me and I wasted too much time on it... so I resort to modifying stuff for myself. ^^

Photoshop for the textures, SecondLife building tool for body parts (and scripts), tranquilizers to keep from freaking out because nothing works as intended.

You can create a free account, there's plenty of free avatars but you'll need a wee bit of in-game money to get the really fun stuff, so perhaps you should register with a PayPal adress. You can download it at [link]

Only if you choose to. ^^ There is an in-world currency with can either be earned in-world or bought via PayPal. It doesn't happen accidently. And you can get along nicely with freebies and so on... to this day I haven't paid any real money for SL.

Do you know of any tutorials for how to make Second Life avatars and how to personalize them? Or can you explain how you did yours?

No, I haven't come across any tuts so far, sorry. It was all trial and error for me, and of course looking closely at professional avatars.
Building something like this isn't so hard... it's mostly linked spheres and some flexi cylinders. Scripts for blinking eyes, emotes and color changing can be found free on the web.

Ja so... wie soll ich sagen... als obs am PC liegen wΓΌrde und... naja, kann's net beschreiben XD Mein Char hatte zwar Kleider an, aber war sonst eben grΓΌnlich und flackerte zwischen Fell und grΓΌn... voll doof...
