Description
My part of the exchange for my awesome friend, *Moondance-Wolf of her equally awesome character, Queen Sidra! My words: Lying, calm
Colors got messed up, scanner is a real arse when it comes to blue and purple
Done in color pencils, ballpoint pen and various shiny gelpens. This is the first time I've even touched art since the end of March, and I honestly feel a bit out of practice! D'x This piece was a bit like art-therapy for me, it feels awesome to be finally out of exams till May! But on the other hand, it was constant fighting with this unfamiliar medium, though I have mixed feelings about the result, I hope you'll like it Moondance!
Color pencils are really hard for me because I'm used to the smooth, easy blending paints provide? Any help, advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Well it's more like I screwed up the colors of the sunset, then tried to fix it by layering salt over it (who knows what I was thinking..) and somehow the salt refuses to come off without ripping the paper now <_<"

Aww man. But it can still be a great painting even with the salt stuck there. It adds texture! Or at least thats what I tell myself, lots of my pictures are full of salt that won't come off :\

Well, looks like someone is rather pleased with their orb, ball thingy! What a cute little pose you've done here ~ I'm afraid I wouldnt be any help offering advice on a medium I've never really touched ; ; SORRY SYPH!

The pose was actually a little hard to work out, because I can never get claws right and fit everything into one dinky little canvas >_<

Very pretty. The colours are beautiful. If you want to give the impression of indentations or a rotund belly try doing the shading first and drawing the markings around the shape it creates if that makes any sense lol. But VERY VERY beautiful.

She looks so calm (as per usual) and the lying position looks so cool!!! (Although I do still love the other version as well both are awesome)
The colors are fine, they look wonderful and just the whole picture.... I'm like making an owl expression right now!!!

Hehehe well I'm sorry to abandon the other version, it's mostly because the salt got stuck on the paper and when I tried to take it off it ripped the paper >_<

oooh I know how that is...I've had salt get stuck on my watercolor art before...it's horrible after you put so much time into the drawing...I totally understand beb!
