I can't argue that.  I like garage queens, but at the same time you can't really enjoy it as anything other than 'something you own'.  I see cars advertised all the time with phrases like '75 miles since restoration' and I wonder how many of those miles were simply loading it onto and off of a trailer.

There's a balance.  My Mustang's in great shape for its age, but at the same time it has a few dings in it.  I know where they are, and I know what put them there (I bought the car new after all).  It survived a deer strike in upstate New York that it drove away from (and the deer didn't walk away from) with a ding in the front fender and a scratch on the bumper.  The damage is still there three years later.  At the same time, I've averaged under 6,000 miles a year since purchase (and most of those miles were put on in the first five years).  It's been driven (it's been to seventeen states to date), but it hasn't been run into the ground.  There's room in the hobby for garage queens and there's room for beaters too.  I can appreciate both.  I try to take the middle path for my own car.  I enjoy it, but don't abuse it.

Personally, I like the beater car aspect because it tells time and character but you shouldnt just abuse it 

Like a car should have a story and beauty

I think you would appreciate this particular car as much as I do:

The story it can tell (I go into details in the description), specifically because it hasn't been restored or hot rodded.  Not many cars survive sixty+ years, fewer still without some freshening up over the years.  I spent probably half an hour talking with the owner, and my only regret is I didn't get to spend more time discussing this car.  History preserved!
