Damn, I have a diecast version of the passenger van by M2, solid casting.
I once saw an M-Series pickup puttering around in Phoenix a long time ago. Biggest regret of my life is not being able to shoot that...

I wonder if this was what Alan Jackson sung about in the song "Mercury Blues"?

Sometimes I really can't tell if you're trolling me.Β An American country artist singing about a Canadian pickup?Β No.
You could easily determine this by doing even a smidgen of research.Β For example, you could look up the lyrics:
www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/alanjaβ¦
It clearly states what Mercury is being alluded to (1949, the popular year for hot rodding).Β Further, you'd also discover that it's a remake.Β The original song (Mercury Boogie) was written in 1948.Β Personally, I prefer Meat Loaf's version, and his indicates a Mercury '69 (likely a Cougar, but it could be a number of other models from that year).Β I'd link to the lyrics, but it's a hidden track (combined with Forever Young after about a minute break) at the end of the 2003 album Couldn't Have Said It Better.Β Look it up - I know it was on YouTube years ago - that's where I found it (back when I still used that site).

Here's a guy that can't take a joke, don't be so serious and take everything so literally. Also so what? "Crazy bout a Mercury" can apply to anything as its a relatable song about Mercury cars.Β You can play it in your 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis LS and it still fits.

I can't take a joke?Β What joke?Β See, the funny thing about jokes is they're supposed to be funny.Β You asked a question and I answered it.Β Explain where the humor is supposed to be in this because quite frankly I'm not seeing it.Β I just see ignorance on your part.Β Don't try to dismiss laziness in doing research as 'I was only joking' because I'm not buying it for even a second.
And 'so what?'Β If the lyrics specify it's a 1949, then guess what, it's about a 1949 Mercury.Β Just like Meat Loaf's version is specifically about a 1969 Mercury.Β You can be crazy 'bout a Mercury in any Mercury, but the songs themselves are specific to the model years said.Β If you want a version without any specific Mercury being mentioned, then you want Steve Miller's version from 1976:

Yes, because oh my gosh, I didn't agree with your point of view.Β Grow up.Β And if you can't grow up, do both of us a favor and just block me again.Β With all your accounts.

It has nothing to do with a point of view.Β You posted a photo of a Mercury, I was having fun and posted a song about a Mercury. You're the one getting so worked up over it and then accused me of being a troll and are bringing up some baseless argument about the logistics of the lyrics because you take everything too literally. Really, it's you. The second you accused me of being a troll shows your true colors. Aidios.

No, I'm referring to the first time you blocked me.Β That was when you blocked me for disagreeing with you.
This is rather cut and dry.Β There's no reason to be having this discussion over lyrics, they're black & white and not really open to interpretation.

I have a 1966 Ford Falcon Club Wagon extended, which is somewhat rare. Even rarer is an 8-door Club Wagon, and even rarer still is a 8-door Mercury Econoline van.

I want an Econoline van so bad. From that year or the late 60's/70's era.Β

Very cool car, I have a photo in my phones archive of a light blue version, should probably upload my older photos at some point.
I always wondered what the weight distribution is like in this, definitely does not look good from the outside lol

Funny you should suggest that... there was a Mystery Machine Econoline van at this same auto auction:

I took pictures of it (a lot of them), so I'll be posting that eventually.Β As soon as I have time to go through all the shots and determine the best ones to post.
