Description Mellie used to smell like... sugar, which struck me as odd, as I had no idea sugar had any particular smell before that time- but if it did, I'd come across it. But after she came back from the Whelk & the Witch Doctor, she smelled more of... a thunderstorm, like smoke and rain and burnt driftwood that stranded itself on the beach and spelled nonsensical poems in the sand.

She was happier when she came back from the Whelk- and obviously Chosen when her visits to the Witch Doctor were complete... but I still tried to see her as my Mellie, and not the somewhat vacant version that possessed her eyes upon her return. The truth, sometimes, isn't any more important than the lie you want to believe.

FUN! I love adding to the curse series. This shot my boyfriend helped me pick out. He's a huge support of my odd lil' hobby. He still hasn't actually seen me paint one in person, 'cause the boy's often gone, but, hey, this is the next best thing.

Time: One + half episode of Weeds (rewatching 1st season)

Random question! Do you paint all the colors first then the black?

Actually, if I recall with this one... I painted the black first, and then went in between with the color to guarantee I had control of the gradient shapes. Then I added more black for emphasis. I actually 'erased' a large portion of this once it revealed itself to be too large for my face shape- thus the way it sort of seems... faded at the edges.

This reminds me of the faerie queen, the eyes go from winter to fall

Artistic ecstasy..... please either inform me of when you become single or let me bring a significant other for you to give lessons in your art... and then I can only hope that her own creativity flourishes to match or surpass what you display.

Lol, careful, my boyfriend reads my comments like a hawk. He wouldn't like all this talk of me being single. ^_~

I love the tendrils. This looks like a tree, branching out into a gathering storm. Glorious colors.

And as always, I look forward to reading the little nuggets of narrative that accompany your work.

Thank you! The narratives are a fun last minute thing... and I do tend to gravitate towards 'tree like tendrils' these days. ^_^
