A Birthday Gift for Wolftale <3The only key I was really given was, "steampunk" this is the resulting image. I'm rather pleased with the end result, a clash of botanical meets steampunk.
Copper, leather, lace, fur and flowers - who knew?

This is beautiful! I love steampunk and foxes. I actually stumbled across this picture when I was looking for inspiration for a restaraunt that I'm working on opening. I'm developing my concept and my business plan and was just looking for art to inspire me. This certainly inspired The Brown Fox!

I know these comments may be getting old, but I just can't help but being drawn to your gallery anytime I need real inspiration.And to find that even in you slightly older posts your unique style of shading,coloring and beautifully designed and finely detailed characters is so prominent and powerful is astonishing. I truly believe that the only people who could even say that your work is not completely and totally stunning and awesome to the fullest and truest extent of the words are those who are, one, jealous or two, just hateful to the anthropomorphic styles of art.
Personally, I see this as a masterpeice. I love your style of center shading and then having the dark shadows casting from the outside, it really brings out the subtle ebbs and waves of shading in the colors( very reminesent of Rembrandht's style of the "Divine Light casting away the darkness). It also brings out the smallest details and colors such as the light blues eyes and brow marks due to the darkness and steely coloration in the objects. You also tackle one of the greatest challanges that almost ever anthro artist I have ever talked to has brought to my attention, the ability to capture the human emotions and effectively and naturally translating it to a non-human face and body language, with great ease it appears.
Her eyes and general composure/posture, if you look at it beyond more then merely a picture, raises many empathetic emotions just by how sad her eyes look. It is very well captured and thought provoking for a simply Troubadour and story teller such as myself, or the greatest most seasoned art lovers.
I love all of your work so far, and I think I always will, even after I might stop writing anthropomorpic stories (which I don't think will happen, I love it to much) you will still be ,most likely, my favorite artist.
If only I had the money to buy prints...but your work is memorable enough that buying prints would be nearly an insult to the power of each peice...and yet...
