So... This ship might be an otp for me :3Unfortunately (in my humble opinion) there never seems to be enough fandom contributions that really get what their relationship. It's like... somewhere in the cuddles and kisses, people forget that they are whole characters with a background, personalities, and other friendships beside their own. After that, we're just left with a cool kid liking the geeky girl. Kind of vague and boring if you ask me but you know, that's just me. Ignore me if you want.

Yeah, I agree. The romantic aspect of their relationship is great, but they're best friends as well as romantic counterparts. Probably more so best friends, seeing as they're thirteen.

I think the "cool kid liking the geeky girl" can be a really sweet story. It's not often that it happens in real life (although, it's not often that those are two of the only people left on earth, either xD)
They do have their own personalities, and yeah, sometimes people lose them in all the cuddles and kisses, but like I said, the cool kid liking the geeky girl can be a really sweet story -especially when it comes to these two.
Anyway, this picture was pretty much absolutely adorable. I love these two so much. I love how he's passive and sarcastic while she's all hyper and bouncy and adorable.

Oh I don't have anything against the Coolkid<3GeekyGirl! No of course not! I just wish there wasn't so much focus on just that. There are other aspects of their persons that make this pairing able to have a more solid foundation, if that makes sense. Sure Jade is cute but that isn't the only reason Dave could like her o.o Perhaps he admires with how genuine and comfortable she is with herself? And perhaps Jade sees right through Dave's cool kid act and embraces it, which in turn, makes Dave not feel the need to act so cool all the time and relax a little around her?

Actually, I don't find many people focus on that, I find what they focus on is just the fact that they're cute :/
And...well, that's about all I see.
Anyway, I think that because of who Jade is, she doesn't expect Dave to be emotionless, and Dave would be comfortable with that because he doesn't have to put up a wall around her -she can see right through him and he's okay with that. Aside from the fact that they're the only ones for each other at this point, I think that's pretty much the basis for their relationship.
