Description Panda bear for a watercolor class. The pose was copied from a photo. This is...messy; I was mostly exploring here. My next attempt at it will be more refined, hopefully.

This came out nice. I enjoy a piece that shows the freedom and movement of the paint in water. this shows a mastery of the media and understanding of painting. the high contrasts of color you used made this successful.

Right now with my art the more refined and detailed it is looks better, but I am striving towards more a quality like this, keep it up!

Heh, you know, it's funny. When I first started with watercolor, I wanted a very detailed, photographic look for my art. Now I find that embracing a looser expressionistic style has really helped me in the end -- though I still feel like a complete amateur each time I pick up the brush.

I feel like that a lot too. I've been reading magazines of very accomplished artists and it seems like they struggle too. They don't always know how to exactly do something either. They have to correct mistakes on final pieces too. that makes me feel a bit better.
