This is the third "variation" on the same subject as [link] and [link] -as a fact all the SF series has been shot around the same three or four buildings

Very interesting angle. Most architecture shots of buildings I've seen usually take a straight up and down approach...yours is really quite different. To be honest, I'm not sure how I feel about it, but it's really striking.

What I absolutely about this one is the reflection of the clouds and the sky on the glass windows of the building. Incredible! The sky is really brilliant in this too.

Very nice work.

thank you well as you saw I tried a "different" (hopefully personal) approach on architectural shots -I consider this as a start, this is my first (considerate) attempt on this subject. what I wanted to do in some cases was "reversing" the perspective -the G6 helps a lot on that because you can actually separate the lens's view from your eye's view due to the swiveling LCD, going even further than a regular waist-level viewfinder. I mean, the lens can see what's behind your head and over you, while you're looking "down".

That is a nice feature that I enjoy on our camcorder...not so on our camera. It really does allow for really different angles that you otherwise would be hard pressed to find.

yes, I've seen that on camcorders mainly... well imagine that feature on a very good 7.1 MP cam with a great lens and RAW capability. love that one

Awesome. I simply can't imagine...my crummy little 3 mp camera is nothing now. My imagination tends to run a little wild when I think about anything better.

but anyway... 'absentia', the old flower, was taken with a 4 MP point and shoot gear is not essential.

Wow...I'm impressed that you got those results with a 4 MP. Maybe I'm being too hard on my camera and should admit a bit (just a bit) of user error or inexperience.

Or maybe I should just get a nicer camera and stop complaining.

a nicer camera... let's see. the canon 350 (which is the rebel xt for you) is great, very high image quality, versatile... end of the ad

I'll take a look...thanks for the suggestion. Ultimately, my wife and I want to get a digital SLR, but the budget constraints are, well, quite constraining at the moment. Perhaps later.
