Description I had to lie in the daisies for 20 minutes waiting for a good burst of sun to break through the overcast..... I started to grow little horns and cloven feet

That is why you get such fantastic images; you have patience.

AND!!! You must have been alone.

Now I usually have my other half with me, so if I can get him to stop the car, its usually a quick hop out of the car, make fast decisions on where to stand, composition etc. and hop back into the car.

Who could believe that dandelions could look so wonderful

Sun-Seeker In reply to AdamsWife [2007-10-30 20:26:40 +0000 UTC]

I'm almost sure that they are Arctotheca calendula, Capeweed, Cape dandelion. It comes originally from South Africa.

20 minutes? Haha, I think my lack of patience is what stops me from becoming a truly great photographer ;]
I think the ramshackle shack and the huge vats fit right into the meadow, it's what makes this picture interesting. Are those really daisies? They don't look like the daisies we get around here

Sun-Seeker In reply to Ratafluke [2007-10-29 21:30:56 +0000 UTC]

True photographers spend DAYs waiting for the right shot! so 20 mins for them is not much.. for me its a lot! Not sure what the flower is but its "daisylike" hehheh

I dont like it because of the joining of the nature (daisies) and a bit boring "industrial" cottage Somehow those two don't fit together. I would rather have seen a picture of a hill full of daisies maybe from a closer angle, so that only flowers would be seen in the picture.

I can still remember the first time I had hay fever (about 10 y o) was sitting in the park amongst the dandelions making a daisy chain... these are beastly things for me.. but I like the composition of the buildings and the colours here.
