So, if you care to know what this is about...here goes. It's a long one but it's an illustration to a part of my story so...I wanted it to incapsule what was going on.

Once there was a nation at war and the priests of the kingdom proclaimed that the Gods informed them their only chance of peace was to go to a remote village an appoint their baker as King. The baker, though against the idea, yeilded to be crowned. He faced ridicule from his own court, scorn from those that trained him, and generally felt outcast by his own people. Still, he never complained and swiftly became a king that even the most pompus of royalty yeilded before and would bow their heads. He brought them peace and prosperity, as the Gods proclaimed he would.

The only problem? He hated being King and he basically disliked all those that served him. When peace was secured at last, he intended to leave them and he did not intend to consult anyone before this. (Basically, he served his time!) So when he escaped the palace, one of the Gods comes down to him and tells him he is not free and must return to ruling. When he refuses, they gift/curse him with a pair of wings. Wings, based on this kingdom, are a symbol of the country and mark him as the True King more than a crown ever could.

The King tries to fly away but having wings does NOT mean you know how to use them. He crashes and his winged visage is seen and he is quickly retrieved...to the awe of his subjects.

But his loathing grows as does his bitterness toward the Gods for being cursed. His Lords know something is wrong but he will not speak to them about anything personal. The Gods are aware that the King is miserable and an unhappy King an unhappy kingdom shall make. In order to help the Lords better understand their King, they place another curse against him.

When he falls asleep, he wakes with his wings changed. They become 'Mood Wings' which change based on his feelings. In anger they burst into flames. In sadness they turn a dull gray. Etc. This helps the Lords guess their master's mood but it still doesn't help them fully understand. So...the Gods curse the King AGAIN.

The next time he wakes, there is a plump Chibi version of himself that flutters by his side. Everytime he has a thought, the Chibi-King speaks it....and never ceases talking until the King is asleep. So no matter how personal or guarded his thoughts, the chibi will shout it out....much to the ire and embarassment of the King.

In this scene the Chibi is probably squealing something like 'You're all a bunch of kiss ass royals who'd stab me in the back if I so much as looked the other way! And my foot itches. And I think I have to go to the bathroom...'
And the poor King is trying to control his temper so his wings don't burst into flames and around him the upset Lords gather around him in a 'W-W-What?! We'd never. YOUR MAJESTY?!'

T^T Poor King. He'd better open up or he'll have another curse come the morning light. Oh dear...
