Description Well, at last, this one took forever but I'm also working on a drawing, freelance, a full time job,..... But here it is. I am pretty happy with it. I think some of the detail work pushes this to a higher level than my Z28. This is all vector art, no mesh. This piece originated from,

He has a great gallery with a lot of nice shots.

I dunno why a critique couldn't be done here but I'll just post a few thoughts. Firstly it's awesome but that's not much critique. The strongest points for me are the style and the details. The style comes off to me as realistic but not photorealistic so it's got your own flavor. I also do not care for gradient mesh and don't work with it so I'm slanted to like the extra thought needed to accomplish this work. That said, cars photographed outside will have differences from photo to photo, photographer to photographer. I used to draw from pictures myself and I started to realize that you could tell my work from others but there was less continuity from one piece to the next than I wanted. For this reason I have to say that this way of drawing doesn't help you stand out and I've seen similar work from other artists. But that only matters, depending on what you want to accomplish with your work. The details are nice. The wheels, the tail light, the vents in the rear are very nice. Once again, it shows the extra mile. The little things I don't love are the background and the rear window. You've obviously mastered the use of gradients but when I can see typical Ai gradients, they jump out at me. The back window is a case of this. The background is nothing major. The car just doesn't seem totally grounded but I certainly like the idea going on with the background. The wheels have that sort of "blob" style seen pretty often in vector art but man, I'll bet they took forever to do and the effect is .... effective. They have a lot of depth for sure. I like a little more contrast in chrome parts but that's personal preference. I suppose leaving a critique at all suggests that I like what I see and think you have some skills.
