Description
A friend of mine has been trying for a a few years to get pregnant. She finally did and asked me to paint something for a baby shower invitation. I painted this last Sunday evening. She lost the baby on Monday. Rowan was 12 weeks old. His little fingers and toes were perfectly formed. His eyes and ears and mouth were all there, though he was less than 5 inches long. Amazing.We buried Rowan on Friday over his great-grandmother's grave.

wow. i just got through watching a video in my ap bio class about the miracle of life. i was the only one oohing and awwing, all gaga over the fetus. poor thing. and give your dear friend a hug from me, i send my prayers.
