hmm I've actually had this finished for about four days now before I posted it.. I just didn't feel like posting it before now..The two soldiers on the picture are 's brown wolf fursona(or was it a coyote?) on the left and and on the right we've got 's fox character.
I would have said I'm quite pleased with the two but right now I'm too much in a foul mood to think proporerly soo... enjo^^
And by the way for those that doesn't know... the two soldiers are for my everlasting "Rebel Vs. Soldier" project where I draw other peoples characters eather as a soldier/merc or as a rebel where I in the end put them into a massive group pic^^

ok i know the red guy gots a g36e, but the brown one has an ak47... ak74... rpk mabey even? (soviet russia obviously confuses me)

Even the artist said its an AK-47, and there are types of AK's that look all steel. And I doubt they're using the first assault rifle ever made...

I had a look at that link that *dmfox sent you and wow, he really is right! You have improved an awful lot over the year!
My favourite of these two is definitely the one on the left. I'm such a sucker for that camo of yours, but it looks so guuuuuud!
I like the wrinkles you've added on both of them, the detail is of a high standard.
Only minor critique I have for this is perhaps the contrast isn't high enough for the background. What I mean is, the background where they're standing appears to be quite dark so the shading on the characters needs to be dark to match.
I'm not sure, just an observation really.
Either way, a great work... rebels are still cooler though!

thanks but I rahter not care about how they fit into the background.. it's the characters I'm spending my time on.. the background is just a photo I found, and I don't really care to spend hours for the perfect match..

Yeah, I know it even though I don't do it very often (in fact, only a handful of times actually...). Some of them are really visually interesting, but I tend to leave them out. Usually because of it taking so long, but also for another reason... I like to make sure my designs are as clear as possible, and since the very nature of camouflage is to break up edges/lines, it kind of counters that. Not only in vehicle designs, but in characters too, especially since I usually do a lot in the way of pencil shading already. It just seems to clutter things up, ya know?
Regardless... like I said they're really fun stuff. I should like to design a few patterns myself sometime, would be fun
