Yeah, this would never actually happen "canonically", haha. They're very close (or as close as anyone really is with Gaster, heh) but Asgore knows how big of an ass Gaster is, and Gaster gets frustrated with how laid back and goofy Asgore tends to be, and they just couldn't ever see each other that way, yknow.
They are indeed cute to pair up for funsies though~
