I am making a safe inference that this fellah was right-handed judging by the direction his head is tilted and the blood splatters on the wall. But one question remains. Whether or not he was a righty or lefty, why isn't there any blood splatter on his shirtsleeves?

Great use of a stock photo. The position was quite fitting. I don't know if you've ever seen photos of gunshot head wounds, but many times they shatter the skull on the way in and out, turning it into a squishy deformed mess that kinda collapses in on itself. The image quite possibly could be taken as a suicide, but looking at it further, the entry hole and exit splatter show a high angle entry from the front, slightly above the forehead, a very unnatural position to put a gun to your own head, as it requires holding your arms up high. If I was to the point of suicide, I'd be weak and weary and wouldn't really want to put too much effort into putting the gun to my head. This one looks like it could be murder

hehe... we meet again! now to the grit.
Imagine crying, staring in a downward angle towards the floor infront of you (depressive state) and not wanting to look at your ticket to death... the angle of impact would allow for this evidence. As far as gunshot wounds to the head... well a gun of large caliper would most certainly reduce a skull and it's contents to mush, yet one of small caliper would do far less. Exhibit A is still being examined for exact specifications, results should be back shortly
In all actuality, this is a private eye series, and you're pointed in the right direction, moreso than any others at this point... but i shall not reveal the last 2 pieces to the puzzle for awhile

Oh wow. This is just excellent. I love it. His expression is perfect, and the blood looks so great splattered all over the place like that. One of the coolest things I've seen on DA.

there're a few faults, not rounded blood over the shoulder and on his breast.
otherwise cool work !
a little strange for suicide to shoot in the forehead.....but effective

it's my understanding that blood isn't known for it's uniformity. I dunno, haven't seen to many real blood splatters behind a mans head. But thanks for the comment none the less.

I really like the layout of this, with the two frames, one being close up...it gives you more of the gross details. All the blood is really gross, but really great, the splatter everywhere are very effective. The guy's expression is real good, especially those eyes

The eyes are so creepy dilated like that. I know.. thats the point. It's a suicide and that alone is creepy.
Nothing could be that wrong that I would want to kill myself. Nothing I have been through, and I been through some sh!t. Nothing I can imagine.
The work on his hair and the shadows in like his ear are superb.

awesome style, here. with the eyes open, it almost makes you want to commend him for being so damn brave. (btw... maybe i'm reading far too much into it but it looks a lot like kennedy..) the blood looks absolutely brilliant. i still adore how you actually keep everything black and white but the blood.. can't wait to see more from this series.

I love this style, good to see it ressurected. I like the eyes and the shocked expression, ironic. The blood slpatter is as always of incredible quality and the detail is superb throughout. B/W with red blood really does work.

the detail on the blood....brilliantly done, the overlaying of the different tones of red gives it a textured feel just behind his head, and the splatter is wonderful.
i agree a tad with guarav with the roughness...although that might have been what you were seeking with a bit of the shadow...
but two pieces in and im loving this series...brilliant work ^_________^

I don't like how the lines look rough in some places, but I love the shading, the detailing... very impressive.
One thing I would suggest, would be to have his eyes so they're shut. It just looks weird with his eyes open.

he saw his death coming??? i think it makes it more creepy with the eyes open... and with the jaggy's i'll work on those... but for now i'm gonna take a break cuz i worked 16 hours straight on both of this series so far!!! thanks for the support!
