Description
For those of you struggling countless hours on displaying your emotions, ideas, and creativeness through art in any form... I bring you the definitive guide to getting your hard earned work displayed as a daily deviation here at deviantART.STEP 1 Draw something... doesn't matter what... just draw something... even in paint. Spend less than 5 minutes on it.
STEP 2 This is the most important step so take note... note +ekud and ask him to feature it as a DD...
Since you worked on your deviation a whole 5 minutes it deserves the most attention ever.
This is merely to poke fun, no harm no foul.
All joking aside - if you want a DD, then you're in it for the wrong reasons. Just take time with every piece you do... make it the best it can be to your ability. Only you can decide if your work is "finished" or not. Don't let others discourage you, and by all means don't take this "tutorial" seriously.

I work my very hardest on my art and have been at it forΒ about 4 years. No one notices my work. NO ONE. I don't draw to get the DD, I want to get the DD so someone, hell, ANYONE CAN SEE MY ART. I DON'T CARE IF IT'S A GOD DAMN CHIMP.

Hahaha Epic... "but" I have a real question. so someone wrote "Being suggested as a Daily Devation" on one of my peices of art so... what the hell does that mean? Ive never heard of a DD until now

haha i agree. I've been seeing fabulous art all over deviantart without a DD... however, just today i looked in the daily deviation section and there's a fricken moticon crab in there. I mean, i know... it's cute. However, does a little circle with claws belong in the daily deviation section? I've seen some wonderful, unique work from many people without a DD and it really pisses me off. -_-

But, even if I will work hard with this deviation, and even it will be better then some other DDs, I will not get a DD because I don't know who must see it to make a DD!

i don't worry too much about the daily deviations, it doesn't really affect ur ability as an artist (i don't think it does) i work really really hard on everything i do, but i'm not good enough for a DD anyway XD i don't ever expect to get one ^^

This is certainly funny, though it's been done plenty of times before (not specifically regarding any particular admin). Something ^jnc said above makes me wonder though...

Perhaps somewhere on the DD page (which is just a function of the "browse" template I think) should be a description of a Daily Deviation, what its importance is, and how to receive one (noting that asking for one is not the way to go). Just a thought.
Anyway, I've been here for 4 years now and have never received a DD, Deviousness, or any sort of "award", and I'm okay with that. Sure, at some point in my deviantART history I'd like to get a DD, but it's not what drives me to be a part of this community, nor does it make me any more important.
That's all I have. I think my comment is now longer than your deviation description.

That was exactly the kind of response I wanted with this. Regardless of whether it's been done before or not, it was just meant to lighten the mood around here. I agree that there should be guidlines, but with so many different types of art it's hard to enforce strict DD guidelines. I think so long as the art is one of the following: technically sound, creatively displayed, and conveys or evokes thought... then it's worth the feature. Thanks fer the comment splat.
