Upon initial viewing I was dazzled. Yet, something didn't feel right. I started observing the one point perspective and realized things were going toward different horizon lines. In fact the matts horizon line is in the middle of the purple ponies head, not nearly far enough back to create the illusion of space. This gave the image a flatness to the point I felt it was a mural on a wall and not an opening to a stable. The back window from the perspective the viewer would have a greater visual of the upper section and the thickness of the wall.
I then started observing the anatomical abnormalities. Where the right fore foot of the white horse seems exceptional where as the left one is thick and missing a knee joint, it almost appears as if the left front and rear leg are fused and we are looking at a three legged pony. As we continue with the white horse, please bare in mind I know the difficulties of foreshortening and the troubles that can occur. From the angle of the viewer based upon the perspective lines of the matt in the fore front its hard to imagine seeing the pony's posterior in this manner without considering that it may have an extreme "U" in its back. Then I turn my attention to the wings, its right wing is small and points upward which I don't have a problem with. The problem is with the left wing which appears disembodied and proportionately to large.
I'd now like to turn my attention toward the light. Its wrong. The back wall would not be lit up with the light source coming through the back window with that level of brightness, it would be mostly dark. Shadows would be more extreme. The white pony would not be front lit, it front would be heavy shadowed. Think along the lines of Caravaggio, for the entire painting. Also, the way the light fills the room and comes through the window has problems, essentially if that was the light source in life the viewer would be sun blind.
This is a decent piece, the artist shows promise for much greater work but more work is required to reach a refined level. Light studies would be beneficial for the artist to undertake, as well as animal anatomy and perspective. As it stands now this makes a pleasant new age sympathy card or any number of commercial offerings like t-shirts, posters, coffee mugs and the like.

Oh, finally! At leas one person can really give a constructive critique! Thank you! Β I myself feel that there is something wrong in the image, but i do not have enough Β knowledge and experience to spot what exactly. Thank you for helping me and pointing out my mistakes. I'll definitely work on improving certain Β aspects

As always it came out awesome! I can see why these take longer....Oh dear I hope I didn't work you too hard, but you do real horses so well and the detail and the lighting as always is really stunning!
I do like how the armor and it's pieces are there but they are in the background where they should be
Well I guess the backstory to this one is in alternate dimension is a actual horse and could use a little help from shall we say a higher power.
Once again, Thank you for all of your hard work!
Stay Strong and Pony On
