Yes! I saw it just earlier today, it looks absolutely incredible! I love how we got a few glimpses of Toasty as well, I love how they designed him, as well as Spyro. They really kept the feel of the original design, which is a relief. I can only imagine how excited you are to see a certain someone, on top of that!

From what it looks like (just judging by the glimpse we got of Toasty), it seems we will get more cutscenes and/or dialogue from the bosses. Not to mention, in the Crash Bandicoot remaster, they did just that, for the most part. I think Jacques will look very, very cool, and personally, I am very excited to see how the Dragon Elders will look!

Agreed!
Ah, as most, I've been playing Skyrim since it was released. Since then I've been playing the series backwards, aha, and I've really enjoyed it. I've had fan characters for years, but only began posting them on deviantArt when I made my new account after taking a few years hiatus from dA. I guess I never realized how big this fandom was sfgjkl but the numbers seem to be dwindling a bit lately. Alas, I met my girlfriend through RPing tES, so not all is lost!
How about yourself?

Ooh~ Have you played TES Online too? Which game did you like the most so far? How many charas do you have in total so far? ºoº Don’t tell me I’ve arrived late to the party and the SKYRIM ship has long sailed.… :c I’m just returning to dA after almost 4-year hiatus due to financial problems, hoping to jump aboard the SKYRIM wagon, only to find out its numbers are slowly declining…feeling kinda sad now… Q_Q Daww, that's so sweet! :'D It’s amazing how something so trivial as gaming or roleplaying can sometimes bring people together like that. X3
Unlike you, I got into the fandom as of late –  November 2015 if I remember correctly – with the Legendary Edition version of the game. The game was suggested to me by my Canadian friend, who I met here on dA; she'd been playing the game since its release. Funny enough, we’ve also met through RP! x'D Though we never really had a TES RP now that I think of it... ; 3 ; She says my Orc is fugly lolz
I hope I’ll get the chance to draw my Orc somewhere down the line; I’ve grown quite attached to him and the fantasy genre in general. >///u///<

Unfortunately I haven't gotten the chance to play ESO due to the fact my laptop cannot run those sorts of games. I hope to one day have a proper gaming PC so I can join the site, but I can't imagine that will be anytime soon. Thankfully, this is not the case for my partner, so I've seen a lot of gameplay secondhand.
And that is a difficult question! I do love Skyrim for the graphics alone, regardless that they've aged a bit since its release. However, Oblivion has a much better main questline (ignoring the amount of fetch quests it has because Skyrim is guilty of it as well); and not to mention the superior Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood questlines on top of that. I do also prefer the "class" structure Oblivion has, in comparison to Skyrim's more open character alignments. But when it comes down to NPCs, side-quests, and atmosphere, Skyrim wins hands down. So I can't really choose! (And I won't even get started on Morrowind, which I believe has the best main questline and soundtrack of the series thus far, but overall I prefer the other two)
I believe I have...six Elder Scrolls fan characters, five of the six alive during the events of Skyrim, the one being dead long before. One currently lives in Morrowind, the rest situated within Skyrim.
But hey! You should get some references together and join the tES RP community, there are still a few of us alive and kickin'. It is a great community regardless of the dwindling numbers, although it's always fluctuating due to ESO, and I'm sure there will be another surge come a new tES installment (whenever that may be).

I had the pleasure of giving it a try this past week – game was made free for a whole week due to the announcement of the newest Elder Scrolls Online Chapter Summerset. I gotta say: the crafting system in ESO is way too complicated for my taste. :/ That aside, I did enjoy the gameplay overall. Definitely on my “To Buy” list for the future once my life straightens back up.
You’re right, it is an unfair question to make. x’D Please accept my sincere apologies for putting you in such situation Milady. Just like you stated and well, all games had their strengths and weaknesses. Here's to hoping that the next Elder Scrolls installment will be all that and more~!
The one being dead long before...would it be your Snow Elf lady by any chance? She's so purtty~ For some reason, I love the fact she is/was a High Priestess; there's just something about it that clicks for me, can't really explain it.

I have some actually! Back from my PS3 days. It’s just that they’re taken with my aging phone, from one of those old boxy potato TVs, so the quality is far from ideal. x’D If you’d like, I can put them on my dA stash and share the link with you via note for you to have a look at my OC. =u=b Which groups should I join anyway? Got any suggestions? ouo? Oh, I wouldn’t be worrying about the next TES installment any time soon. Last time I checked, Bethesda Studios wasn’t even working on it yet; which by the way, I find extremely disappointing given the fact that SKYRIM will already be 7 years old this year. :/ Don’t think Bethesda has ever taken so long launching a game of the Elder Scrolls franchise.

Felniirin In reply to Blue-Cat00 [2018-03-30 20:28:59 +0000 UTC]

Ah, yes, I can agree with that. It's quite different than any of the console games, yeah?
And no worries, aha, I just feel I can't choose one. I mean, they were released years apart, and given what the developers had at their disposal, they all did really well. It just makes me all the more excited to see what is in store for us, even if it takes some time to be released. I'm sure the wait will be worth it!
And yes, that is the one! She unfortunately did not survive the slaughter of her people in the...I believe near the end of the Merethic Era? But I'm glad you feel that way, aha, it she is very near and dear to my heart.
I would love to know more about your characters, yes, feel free to send them my way! As for groups to join, I generally just join whichever ones come up in my feed, from Skyrim-Soulmates to Community-of-Skyrim, just to get my Elder Scrolls related art out to a larger audience. And seeing others work, it's a great way to make connections with others with similar interests! Really, just look up "Elder Scrolls" or "Skyrim" under the groups tag and you should find lots.
And shhh, I can dream, can't I?! Aha, hopefully we will hear more from Bethesda in the near future ;_;

VERY! They could have made things easier regarding that aspect. Or at least put all the crafting benches and bank together, so I don’t have to run around town like a madwoman when I’m running on full inventory, either from quest/dungeon delving or from dismantling junk I just found. Gets tiresome after a while…
They were great games for their time, no doubt. The bar is set high for TES: VI. Can't wait~
For you to have named your account after her, she truly must be~  Was she your first TES character? Or does she simply have a special place in your heart?
Oh, I only have my Orc, Rhoqqo. x'D I'll note ya with the link to the stash folder. ouo I made more than 9 gameplays with him though, due to "in-game related issues". x'DD I'm laughing now, but, back then, when the game would bug out or freeze, and I would either lose a certain amount of progress or had to restart the whole game from 0, I didn't find it so amusing. x'DD I'd love to create some more characters down the line to forge a story with but I guess that by then, I'll just end up creating a whole fantasy world of my own cuz I've really grown fond of the genre and this Orc of mine. I don't him to be just a fan character of a particular franchise, I love him way too much. Level of attachment is over 9000 lol
I'll take a look around, see what I come across with. Thank you~ >w<
Yeah, hurry up Bethesda! You're killing us here, with both the wait AND the silence. lol

Yes, I can get behind that!
And no, she wasn't, Faenor was my very first. Had a few accounts with him, however I too had to restart a number of them due to "in-game issues". Talk about frustrating! Especially when someone overwrote my save...it was an accident of course, but still.
Your character looks really neat! I've never played an Orc, something I've been debating for some time now. Khajiit as well. I bet whatever you come up with for Rhoqqo will be very cool, I mean, how could it not with him being the star of the show?

Ah, yes, Faenor; totally forgot. I really like him and Viryn and Felniirin OBVIOUSLY!; they're such cool bros. Please be friends with my Orc, you guys~!  He could really use a sparring buddy and someone to teach him how to read. ; v ;
Omg, you too? x'D Allow me to hug you in solidarity, my fellow in arms of the failed gameplays.
Thank you~! >//////< I’m a very proud mama! >:’D lol Don’t let his looks intimidate you though. He might come off as intimidating due to being an Orc and what not but he's actually a sweet guy~ To the point of me even nicknaming him "the gentle giant”. x’D Orc and Khajiit became my fav races in the game. Although I must confess I was somewhat influenced when it came down to first choosing "my" race in SKYRIM; and ESO as of late. Can't say I regret it though.  Well, for starters, he's not a very talkative guy – another thing that, unfortunately, contributes to the intimidating image he has. x'D Rhoqqo's the quiet type, reserved, usually keeps to himself...kind of hard to make anything at all out of a silent type character. xD

Felniirin In reply to Blue-Cat00 [2018-04-04 22:35:49 +0000 UTC]

Aw, aha, thank you very much! I don't think Felniirin could help much with..well, anything, given her timeline is eras before his ;w; but Faenor and Viryn would certainly be up for the challenge! And thankfully, the both of them are avid readers.
Ehe, well, that's certainly relieving to hear, he seems like a lovely person. Quiet but kind, he would get along with a few of my OCs, I am sure. I suppose he's a real testament to not judge a book by its cover, ehe, especially considering most Orcs are presumed to be quite gruff.

Blue-Cat00 In reply to Felniirin [2018-04-07 19:42:47 +0000 UTC]

Don’t mention it~ >w< I’ve actually spent the last 2 days trying to imagine what would be like if Rhoqqo and Felniirin got to meet and I gotta say – it stole me a few chuckles. xD It would be a rather awkward/embarrassing sort of meeting; Felniirin would probably end up thinking Rhoqqo is a weirdo, poor guy haha. X’DD You see, Rhoqqo never really had much contact with females so, to him, women come off as these…strange, “scary” yet intriguing creatures that he prefers to observe/admire from afar since he doesn’t really know how to act around them. You could go as far as saying he considers them rather intimidating, so he usually prefers to keep his distance and avoid them whenever possible lol. x'D Plus, the fact he’s awfully self-conscious of being an Orc and the whole stigma revolving the race, doesn’t really help to boost his confidence to attempt an approach cuz he just takes for granted that females will find him unpleasing to even look at, much less talk to.
Faenor, Viryn, and Rhoqqo would make an interesting traveling trio of buddies – the brain and the two brawn(s) lolz. xD But given the fact Faenor often prefers a solitary lifestyle, he probably wouldn’t tag along in the adventure, would he? .w.' It would probably end up just being Viryn and Rhoqqo, the muscle duo. lol
He is; once you get to know him. He’s like a big, giant teddy bear. I’m seriously pondering the idea of creating a young, teenage, Bosmer, archer girl to tag along with him in his journey. Surely it would help him look less intimidating if people saw a "little midget" sitting on his armor shoulder plate, like “’Sup? I see you've met my bro Rhoqqo..." as if it was nothing, no? lol Probably just not with Merilinor though hahaha! xD He really is, isn’t it? x’D But I guess that’s what I like most about him. People see an Orc and they immediately think the worse; from brute to pig and everything in between. With Rhoqqo? Well, let's just say you're just up for a big surprise. >w<

Felniirin In reply to Blue-Cat00 [2018-04-09 05:38:23 +0000 UTC]

Oh gosh, well thankfully Felniirin is awfully patient. Of course, the Falmer are rather wary of those who are not of their kind, but it isn't in her nature to wave off anyone solely due to their race. She is always willing to listen to what those have to say (if anything, given how shy Rhoqqo is).
And I agree, that would be a rather interesting trio. I am sure Faenor wouldn't mind travelling alongside others if they had a common goal, or if they were assisting him in his own. Viryn is pretty indifferent to having company, as he is quite used to working on his lonesome. But, due to this, he quietly craves companionship, he just won't admit it. Stubborn Dunmer.
I like the idea, it would be quite fun! I mean, the contrast and all! Why not go for it?

Blue-Cat00 In reply to Felniirin [2018-04-14 13:29:28 +0000 UTC]

Does that trait come from her personality itself or is it something she acquired as a priestess? Cuz I remember reading somewhere that she wasn’t originally intended to be a priestess but a warrior instead, so it got me wondering if she was always this patient. I think all races are, in a way, given the troubled history of slavery in the game and conflict overall. @ v @’ Rhoqqo often remits to silence cuz he prefers to listen instead. He will intervene to say something if he deems it necessary enough or you can just ask his opinion on the matter and he will give it to ya in a soft-spoken, husky tone. ouo
I can see Rhoqqo assisting Faenor in one of his quests, absolutely. The opportunity of tagging along with a scholar and learning from him would be most rewarding for Rhoqqo! …I think you just made me like Viryn even more mngh! Acting all tough as nails but then secretly craving for a friend to adventure with!? My heart can’t take it! This is giving me all sort of feels right now! xD
Lack of time really. My current internship doesn’t leave me with a lot of free time in hands. From Monday to Friday, I start off my day at 8AM, only to get back home around 9PM. Most of the time, I just eat a yogurt and go straight to bed; too tired to do anything else really. OTL On Saturday, like today, I usually leave around 4pm to attend class, only to be back around 9pm. The little free time I have is spent resting, in bed, preferably, doing absolutely nothing, due to spending hours on end up on my poor feet. OTL

Felniirin In reply to Blue-Cat00 [2018-04-14 20:57:48 +0000 UTC]

sdjg oh gosh, yes, when I first created her she was a rogue. Of course, she was scrapped some time ago and the Felniirin we know now was created! So, it is in her personality, really, but I imagine it comes with the job as well. But yes, you're right. Pretty well every race in the game is racist in some way, either having some predisposed prejudices or there being some extremist group (aka, the Thalmor for the Altmer, the Stormcloaks for the Nords, and a couple Dunmer houses pouting that they can't own slaves). It's amazing there hasn't been more conflict.
Ehe, Faenor would appreciate it, surely. I mean, he is incredibly passionate for learning, and teaching others as well. And shjfgj I'm glad, Viryn is full of suppressed feelings. I mean, I imagine one would be after everything he's been through. Dunmer's don't have it easy, do they?
Ah gosh! That is an insane schedule! Sounds quite rigorous, what are you interning for, anyhow?

Blue-Cat00 In reply to Felniirin [2018-04-15 13:42:06 +0000 UTC]

I see… Did you ever draw her as a rogue? It would be interesting to see an outfit comparison, of her, dressed as a rogue warrior vs priestess. Hey, nobody is perfect right? xD I guess we can conclude all races have skeletons in their closet. xP True, though, sometimes, their dimension make up for it… @ v @’
In a modern AU, would Faenor be a college teacher by any chance? A bookstore keeper/owner maybe? I kind of felt sorry for Viryn after learning about his sister...it was really sad. :c Fleeing their home, leaving everything behind, then, losing his sister along the way, must have made him a bitter person for a while. Did he ever fully, ya know, recover from it…? Do you have any ref. of his sister? What age were they when she…ya know… :’( SOME of them sort of had it coming though... >^>
I’m currently interning at a repairs and IT solutions store; or at least that’s what I think it’s called in English. xD

aaa, I have only traditional sketches of her old design, but they are stored away somewhere! Perhaps one day I'll dig them out.
And yes, you're right, aha!
In the modern AU, Faenor actually works in IT which is quite funny given your internship. He works for his twin brother, who owns a business, which ended up being a front for some more nefarious things.
But yes, Viryn went through quite a bit. He never really recovered from it all, curses the Gods of his homeland for abandoning them, or so he thinks. I don't have a ref for his sister yet, but some day! I'll do up some sketches. I believe they were young adults when it happened, perhaps 70-ish.

Omg, seriously? x’D What a funny coincidence haha! Didn’t see that one coming. Nefarious things…? Le gasp! Is his brother involved with crime?
Can’t really blame the poor guy. If I was in his place, I probably would too. :c Someday~ Over the rainbow~ Hopefully someday we’ll see some brother and sister tender moments – as in, his sister nagging him about not being a social butterfly lol So young! Poor Viryn. ;_; //hugs

Yes, he is a computer enthusiast. His brother has ties to some...shady business, but Faenor does get him out of it after some time. What are brothers for, right?
And yeah, he never got the opportunity for closure. He strives to make his parents life better to make up for what his sister couldn't have, anyway. I should do some small pieces of them together, really, haha! I think it'd be sweet.

Yeah, my Canadian friend. She had a few comics of her OCs, she made during high school time, stashed away in some boxes; she dug them out on purpose for me to read them; quite entertaining I must say. >wThank goodness. It’s up to the one with a good head on his shoulders to bring the other back to the right path. Get that “young man” back in line Faenor! You said it!
I was actually quite touched for learning he gives part of his income to his family. That’s just…really nice of him, ya know? ; v ; He’s a good “kid” when it comes to family. Like, a family portrait? He sure deserves a little tribute~ I hope he can return to Morrowind someday, he deserves it. I’ll be cheering up for him.

Oh, that's awesome!
And yes, precisely that. After your suggestion, though, perhaps he will one day turn to teaching at a college or university...it is certainly something I can see Faenor doing. I'll give it more thought.
Ah, just about everything Viryn does is for his family. He feels very poorly for what happened, and how much they're struggling in this new land. He just wants them to live comfortably, especially after losing their daughter. But yes, I'll try to mock up something, it'd be a fun project!

Indeed. I’m a sucker for some of her OCs; mainly the vampire ones and a grumpy vampire in particular. xP
I got the idea after you told me he liked to teach others. Couldn’t help but imagine Faenor standing in front of a whole class, in one of those large, auditorium-like classrooms at some university.
Gotta make it official – Viryn is now my #1 child of yours. It’s not even up for debate, he’s just that amazing in my eyes. Does he even have time to enjoy himself in the middle of all this? It sounds like he’s always busy working to reassure his and his family’s income, no fun at all. :c Doesn’t carry this burden, on his shoulders, all by himself make him a tiny bit uptight? Sorry about making so many questions but the more I know about Viryn, the more I adore him, he’s so freakin’ awesome. Also, random question: Does Viryn know how to play, saaaay…any string instrument by any chance? o3o?

Felniirin In reply to Blue-Cat00 [2018-04-25 21:11:40 +0000 UTC]

Oh yes, as long as he's passionate about the subject he's teaching, he'd love it. Faenor can be a bit socially awkward so there would be some hurdles for him to get over before he could get out in front of everyone but...in time, yes, he'd enjoy himself.
shdjgg you are too kind! Viryn has very little downtime, in all honesty. If he's not working, he's traveling to his next assignment. Though he does have a few hobbies, for example he enjoys swordplay, and reading. I think he reads a lot of fiction as a sort of escape from his workload, perhaps dabbles in his own writing, though he'd never show anyone.
Given what happened to his family, he takes his work super seriously, so yeah, he's pretty uptight. He doesn't let himself rest very often. And don't worry! I don't mind talking about him, it's a good chance for me to think critically about his character. I don't think he'd play any instruments, given he hasn't had much time to learn, though I imagine deep down he wants to.

It would be quite the adventure/challenge to him, no? Hahaha!
asdfgh! Viryn needs to take some time off and start enjoying life for once – he sure as hell deserves it; in more ways, he can possibly imagine.
I guess we could say Viryn’s one of those guys where you tell him he needs vacations and he’ll answer you with “Vacations? What are those? Never heard of such thing.” These questions are even making me question certain aspects regarding my own boyo right now; which is a good thing cuz I never really pondered these small, little details about Rhoqqo before. xD So, this is certainly being beneficial to me as well, in helping me flesh out my own character some more! I was asking about the instrument cuz I had this neat scene in my head of him playing some accords on his small balalaika, by the bonfire, somewhere out in the woods, so I started wondering if that was even a valid possibility. xD Don’t ask me why it had to be a balalaika though, I have no idea. xD

Yeah, Viryn isn't exactly one to "take time off", no matter how much he needs it. I suppose given his family's living situation, he can't really afford to, either. I imagine once he gets them out of Windhelm, he'll definitely ease up a bit, but until then...can't imagine he'll let himself take a day off.
That's good to hear! Character development is always a bonus.
Ah, that is quite sweet! Perhaps he'll sing to himself, probably some old Dunmer hymns if anything. But as of now, no instruments yet.
